Howard was walking off the floor calling timeout. He walked right in front of wade and towards the dallas bench calling timeout, following coaches orders. Whether there was miscommunication between avery and the refs, or avery and howard isnt the issue. If a player on the floor calls a timeout it must be granted. and howard was calling timeout and walked in front of wade at the line while everyone else was lined up ready for wade to shoot

he also missed 2 free throws at the other end

NBa is controversial because every single drive that is contested can be called a foul or not...its sort of like watching an NFL game full of bomb passes and 1 on 1 coverage and trying to determine pass interference

That is true dr03, but some of the things you see are ridiculous. Like say if some guy runs at me full steam and plows into me uncontrollably and I wasn't set, I pick up a blocking foul. It's lunacy and FWIW, Wade is smart and realizes this. He just runs as hard as he can into someone moving their feet, draws the foul and goes to the line. This part of it isn't bad officiating, just rules of the game, but jesus I have watched all four big sports most of my life and cannot think of any sport where the refs play a bigger part in determining the outcome than in an NBA game

This type of finals series set up seems to favor the road team with the worse record... You win these 3 games at home and the home team with the better regular season record now has all the pressure. I don't know why they switch up series style. If it is so much better why don't they use it in every series in the playoffs?

It's not to idiotic to bring up, maybe the refs and other people in charge have an anti Dallas thing going on. Because of Cuban and Avery's rantings? All in all, terrible officiating. As usual...Sucks to win that way, but that's life!:103631605

You can catch the ball in the back court but you can't jump from the front court and land in the back court. If you jump from the front court you are considered to be in the front court. When he catches the ball in the air and comes down in the back court, it should be a violation.

Mark Cuban agrees with me that it should have been a back court violation. If you watch the replay, Wade hesitates after catching the ball as he knew he screwed up and the call should have been made.

My first reaction was thinking he F d up and went backcourt, I never saw the replay though...If he's in the air he's fine...has anyone else mentioned it being a violation?

When all is said and done, if the Mavs make their free throws down the stretch, the late call is irrelevant.

There are bad calls and home cooking all the time in the NBA...but control your own destiny and make your foul shots.
