It should have been a backcourt vialation as Wade jumped from the frontcourt and landed in the backcourt when getting the inbounds pass. Any other time of the game and that would have been called.

i think you just answered your own concern. he was in mid-air when he caught it. isnt that the rule?

I think that is ok. Not really sure exactly what you are saying because I didn't pay attention to it.

But if he was in the air when he gained possession, wherever he lands is the side of the court that he begins possession with.

There are situations when you can go into the back court. I'm pretty sure you can on side line passes.

You can catch the ball in the back court but you can't jump from the front court and land in the back court. If you jump from the front court you are considered to be in the front court. When he catches the ball in the air and comes down in the back court, it should be a violation.

And Dallas had three guys scoring Terry 35, Howard 25, Dirk 20

25 Free Throws for Dwayne Wade :smoking:. I can see Stern sitting in NY right now twiddling his thumbs in glee. Just sickening. In no sport do officials determine the outcome as much, it's not even close. There's not even one decent one I can name. Terrible. I'll watch World Cup replays Tuesday night in lieu of another travashamockery.

Remember, part of the differential in FT's is the hacka shaq. I think there were 38 fouls against 27 and of those 38 a bunch were intentional fouls where Dallas fouled Shaq.

Like I said, I don't know why people point out the NBA so much. Have you ever watched a Duke basketball game? A NFL home game, or a college football game? Way worse in my opinion.

I can't believe they didn't show the replay of Johnson signaling what looked like a timeout before Howard called it. They'll blame Howard but it looked like he was just following the Coach.

If you guys dont want to deal with referees, then American sports are the wrong ones for you guys besides MLB.

I saw Avery calling it too....he may have been signalling to his own team to call T.O. after the FT though.

IMO the only one that compares is a Duke home game. I was at the game where Alexander Johnson got thrown out of the game after Shelden Williams pushed him, good times. CFB and NFL refs will screw up once or twice usually, it seems like one in every 3 playoff games there is terrible officiating.

The game wasn't horrible enough where I'd be outraged.

There were fouls on Miami that should not have been called but on almost all of them I saw how a foul could be called. Dallas had some no calls that should have sent them to the line but I could understand the no call on most of them. Definately a little biased but not horribly.

And I think the reason why there is so much bitching regarding fouls with the NBA is that someone can argue a foul on every possession. 2 people can have two different viewpoints. I see that more in the NBA then other sports.

snoop, i thought the ref in that game did a decent job actually. Balboa was just talking out of his ass. I think you agreed with me that those were good calls for the most part. The only one that could really be iffy was the red on Mastroeni. Balboa should be fired post-haste, along with Foudy, Wynalda, Lalas, and all the other windbags. They are all a complete joke. Hell they all probably think that the 3-6-1 was one of the greatest formations ever to be seen in the World Cup.

Did anyone notice that Avery seemed like he didn't know what he was doing in OT? Avery was doing the hack a shaq with like 3 minutes left in OT but he thought it would send him to the line after the 2nd .. You gotta know the rules...this isn't college
