Yes this is a top 3 book....BUT,

Why does everyone continue to insist on playing and encouraging others to play, at a book that has consistently proven to be the "sharpest" and toughest to beat in the field.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I had to CHOOSE my opponent, or competition, PINNACLE would be the LAST book on my list.

What 'value' is there in getting the 'best number' on the wrong side?

It borders on sheer idiocy...in my opinion.

You are trying to beat the bookie!...(I think).

Do you also go to the pool hall and find the best player for a money game. Hell no. YOu find the idiot...and you take his money. Wise up..nutbags.

Seriously though Some good points Iron,

but if you want a book that pays neteller (when you can beat them) in 10 mins and rarely at all ever down and solid as a rock Pinny is it...IMO no book more solid then pinny
it is a worry free out ..IMHO but as you say tuff to beat...unless your LANDER

In jest, my friend.

Just want to remind.

IMHO, pinnacle is a leader, and a top 3 book.
I also believe they are the sharpest...and can be used as a tool to profit. But if I had to pick 1 book to post up at, this would be my LAST pick.

It just gets annoying to see people continually promote this book without regard for the difficulty one can expect in beating them.

Good Luck this year DAnte.

Ironlock kind of has a losers mentality I guess. My philosophy is that I want to beat the best.

I deal with Western Union and PPATM for now so Pinny is not even in my top 8 books IMO. They are good for other reasons but not to me.

Iron,

Good point, getting the best number on the wrong side will kill you. The key to playing at Pinny is to stay away from the numbers that look to good to be true because they're usually losers.

no offense,,,, but this is the Stupidest thread Ive ever read,,,, Even More so than my not Knowing a 4.5 Inning Play in BASES ENDS in the middle of the 5th!!!!!!! hahhaha

How about you go Play at BODOG or MILLENIUM amd Lay an EXTRA HALF POINT or an EXTRA 20cents,,,, hahha

If you Pick a Loser,,, Pinny will save you THOUSANDS,,, If you pick winners,,,, then you can go play at BoDOG and Millenium and their CRAZY Vigs wont matter,,,,

Ironlock,

Although you make some valid points, when a line is tainted everywhere, and you can lay 1.05 on either side with PINNY, then why on earth would you not have them as one of your "outs?"

Also, when betting futures, their overall hold is so much less then many competitors...

It would be foolhardy NOT to have PINNY as a significant "OUT," but when they offer you such a great number, I totally agree with your philosophy because they often know something that I don't...

I guess I am a huge sucker because I love Pinny. I check my outs, almost 20 at this juncture, with expansion in the near future, and Pinny has the best line, or the best juice. Best price has no sharp or square designation. Lately I have been crushing them. Had Argentina future, and they had biggest limits on Olympic hoops. Comes and goes, especially when scalping and/or middling. Thier lines are sharp, from the point sharp money bets into them. But again, that is cyclical. Been in Pinny since they offered 30% match sign up bonus. Safe to say, they are my number one out. If it was you who struggled grading 5 inning result, Congradulations! You are the first repeat recipient of the RX Dunce Cap. And I will be the Pinnacle sucker...Best Wishes...OF

If pinny has the "best" number....I would personally, rather bet the other joint at the "market" number.

This is why they are the sharpest book...they have the ability to put opinion into the number, and induce action on what they have demonstrated to be, "a losing side".

You go ahead and keep betting the off number at PInny, and I'll go ahead and keep betting the opposite side at the market at the other joints....I'll take Pinnacle's opinion over anyone.

Shrink-
You are correct...they are well "priced". But to assume that one can beat them by betting into their off numbers...has proven to be false.

Just track their Bases totals. If it's 9u120 everywhere and 9130 at pinny....I would much rather bet the under at OLYMPIC, than I would bet the OVER at pinny...

O-Frog- I see you would bet the "over at pinny" because its the "best price" in relation to the market. If you are beating them, it is due to your handicapping ability and is IN SPITE of their numbers, not as a result of them.

I think Tate took credit for that.

But of course, you would have to actually READ the post to get that from it.

Yes. But NEVER as the PRIMARY out. As I said, if I had to pick 1, or even 3...they would be the last.

However, if I had to pick one set of lines to be my guide...it would be Pinny's.

OF, EXACTLY Pin has the best numbers both ways on almost exery game, expecially in the spread based sports. They have the better number and adjusted vig on those numbers. SO where can anyone make a distinction between when they "know spmething". O have tracked their numbers religiously for 2.5 years before this summer, and only semi religiously this year. Up until this year I saw ntohing that showed a pattern. They wnet with everyone else, or maybe before, but all in all were in iline, and if they had a "worse" number one way it didn't take long for them to adjust it to have the best number/hold BOTH ways.

This summer however they had glitches and a lot of lines out of whack. It was discussed and debated on here for a few weeks, and the usual theories were made.

It has since settled down, but they still are adjusting much more than they used to.

As I have said a million times over. They are looking for the scalps, and the buy backs. That is the only way they can justify offering the best number both ways simultaneously. if they were really "sharp" or "over-gambling" they would have one side out of sync enough to REALLY take a lot of action that way.

Poeple that do track and do follow, and don't just guess or notice it when they winor lose, know what is up. But that is why a lot of people have these conspiracy theories, and why the books do have a psychological hold on people. Because they believe that shit.

Just like the post about the Olympic medals total being "only" 1.5 off. Like they KNOW anything about that! They picked a number and hung it. But because they were so close people think they are omnipotent. And whenever that happens, or someone points it out, it just burns that theory in deeper.

But it does make people even more scared than they already are, and convinces them they have to be almost perfect to win. So the books win. That is why they do "win", and most people lose, beause enough people beieve stuff about them that isn't true.
