Earl, you are absolutely correct, an arbitrator would have ruled in their favor. Pinnacle won't sweat over $80. This is a no-brainer for them. Give the player the $80 and in return have a happy, returning customer as well as some positive publicity. Sounds like cheap, effective advertising to me.
It seems like Pinny would rather pay $80 for a customer's error than have some upset player cost them business because he was vindictive of his own mistake ...

This situation bothers me. I am glad things were resolved in this matter but I think the player was wrong in this spot. He made a wager over the phone and confirmed the wager with the phone clerk. Then he wants the $80 dollars afterwards. What I still can't figure out is if the money was there to wager on the phone, why could't he bet on the internet?

I just ripped the McDonald's manager a new behind and I need your help to get them to do the right thing.
Here is the deal. Yesterday, I ordered a Big Mac Value Meal w/ diet coke and had it supersized. Well let me tell you it was lunch time and the line was long as hell when my order came up the retard girl hands me my bag of food I look inside I got the Big Mac, and super quart size coke but REGULAR SIZE FRIES!!! What the hell? I waited in line all that time, I clearly told them what I wanted and they screwed it all up. Anyway they charged me for the regular price for the value meal. I was pissed but my lunch hour was almost over so I took it a left.
SO today I call the manager to get the Fries they "forgot" to give me, well this guy just laughs and hangs up the phone.
UPDATE: I visited the store today and the manager tried to give me a coupon for FREE 6 piece McNuggets. I said no way even thought the 6 piece cost more than the fries they owe me I was holding out based on Pinciple. I mean I just want what is coming to me I'm not trying to rip them off.
UPDATE #2. At first I thought McDonalds was just going to rip me off, but they came through and DID THE RIGHT THING! They gave me my fries and appoligized for the screw up!

I can only quess that the timing was so tight that the player did not want to pass up the bet at plus 105, and then have log into his acccount or at least refresh it, to see if he had the credit. while doing this possibly the ball may have been kicked off to start the 2nd half, and he would have been shut out. Only quessing.

Yep. Time was running short. Maybe the computer was in another room. Then he'd have to log in, find the bet, place the bet, etc. Did he have enough time? Who knows.
Regardless, yet another example of why Pinnacle is one of the best books. They do the right thing, even when they don't necessarily have to!

All of my books grade first half wagers at the conclusion of the first half and then put up the second half line. Therefore allowing players to use the money to bet the second half.
The player wanted to bet the second half and was forced to call in his play. He got charged extra vig for having to call in the play. Had they graded the play he could have made the bet on the net. End of story.
