I know its not cause I read some info with creator in an interview and he described part of that episode where AJ got fired and Tony was there to Scream at him

yeah you watch it will be part of a dream sequence or something.

Maybe this season is going to be all about who runs the crew after.
Pretty big gamble on the producers if they plan on running the show without Tony.

Adriana bit had me confused until it was a known dream.

Even though I knew she was to be used a dream sequences. I still thought something else was going on.

If you call 911 and don't say anything, they'll send someone by.

My guess is that the second episode opens with Tony lying in a hospital bed.

What's funny is that when it became obvious that Uncle Junior has completely lost it, I was wondering to myself if there were any guns in the house.

Wil or any mod, you might want to consider putting a spoiler warning in the thread title.

I thought the same thing the 911 call would get identified and help will be sent. Cut to hospital room with concerned faces on Carmela, Janice, with an antsy and bored AJ, an hysterical Meadow, and the crew all thinking what if he DON'T make it...

I don't understand that guy hanging himself. Guess it was the only way he could get out without ratting on the family. Too many mosquitoes in Florida anyway. California is much nicer!

Tony has to live. Besides, once he placed the 9-1-1 call, even if he couldn't speak, the police come out to check things out. They'll call the paramedics and Tony will live. Police will scope the house and find Junior in the closet. Further searching will produce the gun under the bed. Junior will get arrested and be sent back to jail, but he'll probably die first or be put in a mental institution!

I guess I am the only one that was bored stiff with the episodes. I guess with all the lead up to The Sopranos, I thought it would be better than it was. It seems the same stories are being rehashed using different characters. I mean how many lower level people can The FBI be talking to? How many mob wake services do we have to see? Same thing, nothing original to me.

I thought the same thing. The guy wasn't backed into a corner at all. Poor bastard has to tell his wife they will only have a vacation condo in Fla instead of a big home. What a whimp! Suicide didn't ring true. Like that line from 'Mississippi Burning', "Rattlesnakes don't committ suicide'.

I haven't watched the episode a second time so I could be wrong. Didn't Tony grab a phone off a table, then drug himself to kitchen. I think when he pulled the phone off the table the receiver came off the hook. Then he used the wall phone and dialed. If the first phone was off the hook, he wouldn't be able to get a dialtone on the other. A little nitpicky and I could be way off.

It seemed (to me) pretty clear that Tony ripped the line out of the wall which would have precluded an off the hook signal.

OK. As usual, I was wrong. Pretty good ending to the first episode though. Once the new season starts, now all the old reruns will not be shown. These last few weeks have been great with all the old reruns.

When Tony dies, it will be much more dramatic than getting shot by his incoherent uncle.

But I do think Tony get's bumped at the end of these 12 episodes...then next year's 8 deals with who takes over..

my odds:
Christopher 5-1
Carmella 10-1
Silvio 20-1
Paulie 25-1
Bobbie 50-1
AJ 1000-1

Field: 20-1

Ummm...he was ratting the family out to the FBI. He was most assuredly in a corner.

I thought that Eugene was screwed also, having to wear a wire has to be brutal - plus his son still being on heroin. I am also not sure if the $2,000,000 inheritance story was not part of an FBI trick to get him closer to Tony, thinking Tony will drop his guard to try to get near the $2Million.
