I believe this as well VD. These people are emotionally and sometimes psychologically ill. They can be treated to get better. Why allow someone to throw away their lives at a moment of despair? Unless we know all about these illnesses of the mind and the state of mind of the person at the time we have no businesses judging them.

I'm sure there are a lot of people here who have at one time or another thought of ending it because at that point and time life really sucked for whatever reason. I think it's probably something everyone has thought about before. But why didn't you do it? For those of you who are married or have kids. Why would you want to put your family through that? I know what it's like to have a parent die when I was very young. It is at it's most basic a selfish act. You are only thinking of yourself.
Sorry for your loss and can't comment about your situation because I've never been in your shoes, but I can say that most of us knew people in a similar situation and in most cases, I would venture that people who try to commit suicide are dealing with tremendous pain and that they really are thinking that this is the best solution for all parties when in reality they are hurting everyone...just my 2 cents
It's because they have the whole world, and see firsthand that the world cannot satisfy. Middle class people like us are still chasing the world, because it hasn't disappointed yet. But those at the top see that they are really no better off than when they didn't have money and fame.
Are some people predisposed to handle fame and fortune better than others? These younger stars I can relate to. How many of us when we were in high school partied our butts off? I don't think I can be president because I did inhale. I think that everythings just given to them after a certain point and there is no one who is willing to sit them down and tell them they are destroying their lives.

:toast:no doubt our interaction with fellow human beings is the most influenticial emotion...happiness or sadness .....its what we r n when we die , its only our memories that are left ....
however, my point was HAVING MONEY as oppossed to NOT having MOney is absolutely crucial to one's happiness !!!
it's a helluva lot easier life travelin around the world eating out at the best retaurants ,as oppossed to not having enough money to live month to month !
