I can help shed some light on the Michael Hutchence situation:

He was involved with Paula Yates who was the wife of Sir Bob Geldof. The press was on top of him for his affair, his drug troubles and the chance of having his daughter taken away and the fact that he had lost his sense of smell and taste from a strong blow to the head from a taxi driver changed him.

He was under a massive amount of stress from the lack of sales of his last album, elegantly wasted and he believed that he would not be able to fulfill another six albums to the band's new 100 million dollar contract.

Several hours before he died, he was in the bar of the hotel flirting and joking with several chicks. Nobody saw it coming then. still, combine all of this with a mixture of coke and several anti depressants and his extreme sexual fetishes (autoerotic afixiation), that did him in that evening.

Viejo, yes I really do feel that way. There are so many sick and dying kids with incurable diseases who will never get to grow up and experience life. There are adults who are dying from diseases that will leave some poor kid without a mother or father.

So I never feel sorry for someone who kills themself because theywant the easy way out. There are plenty of people in this world who would trade places with him. People like him are weak. What about his family? Did he even think about how it would affect those who love him? No, because people who commit suicide are selfish and weak.

How do you have any idea what he's dealing with? All you see is what's on the outside. My friend was raped, and after several years of dealing with the trauma, she took her own life to escape the pain. Is she weak and selfish? How can suicide be selfish, when it is the end of self? Maybe you should think about fact that you've never walked a day in someone else's shoes, and you're no expert on their problems.

Where did I say I wasn't religious? By "going into that," you must mean that you thought about saying that suicide is a one-way ticket to hell, even though the Bible doesn't say anything to support that notion.

Get busy living or get busy dying....guess he wanted to go, but that being said, I believe that people who try to off themselves are really hurting and do not know how to deal with the pain,,,they need help, not discouraging remarks about how they are weak...they are not running from problems, they just do not know how to effectively deal with them...they need professional help....isn't that what religious people do?? You are only looking at this from one perspective. When a person is in a suicidal state of mind they are not able to see things from a logical perspective (for the record I don't think yours is logical).
