I looked on the site, and dont see any instructions on how that switch is wired. When you get a chance can you snap a couple pictures of the switch pulled out of the wall and the back of the switch? I know you said you swapped it out. I just wanna see how many switch legs are coming off of it.

It just quit working one day. All of the other functions in the switch work just fine.

TTinco, you need to find out if there is voltage between that black and white you mentioned coming to the light kit and work from there.

I never did get to hear what the end result was when your sump pump quit working. Did it come back on when the power outage was over?

Thanks for your help Angle. I'll email you a pic of the back of the switch.

I can get my hands on a meter(pretty silly to try to troubleshoot this without one).

cool, I'll look out for them. Even a small $1.50 voltage test lead from Wal-Mart would help.

LOL, I'm glad I can help people out in other ways if I can't give em any winning sports picks.
When I get my license this year I need to go work for justanswer.com

It did come back on when we got power back, but before that happened I was hooked into my neighbor's generator, only had water (1 1/2 inches) for about 10 hours, so my rug was spared. :aktion033

Can I get an update on it Korn?
Had no idea this is what kind of machine you were hookin up.

I wish. That machine does something quite different then what mine does. That one is for construction drilling and rotates 90 degrees to drill from the edge or from the bottom. I need to get one but it isn't in the budget yet. Mine drills from the top and is mostly just for drilling a line of shelf holes..

And I haven't done anything more yet. I had to order that plug and receptacle, also got the fused disconnect, and I will hit that up this weekend.

Well it didn't work. Same thing, Idler runs fine without the receptacle hooked up. With the (correct) receptacle hooked up, it doesn't run and trips the breaker.

I give up!!

any way you can give me a link to the model of machine you have, and I'll do some more checking on it. I wanna make sure it's 3 phase. That machine above is single phase.

I know AB, they make a 2hp in single phase and 3 phase both now, and also a 3 hp in only 3 phase. Mine is an older unit, though. That is just a pic of the new machines. This is like 12 year old machine. I have no model #'s or anything. I tried to look up the motor #'s with the manufacturer but that came up empty. It says 3 phase right on there though and is wired just like the idler as well.
