Put yourself on the line? You've been on this site for a whole 12 minutes.

Honestly people. How many times do people have to burned by stunts like this on this site?

WVU,

The $450 is my car payment (175) and rent each month (275).

Here is the link from prosper saying no:
http://by127w.bay127.mail.live.com/...2d99-5e71-4279-b3a3-2b3e90acf80d&n=1991889922

Let me know if that works or not.

Safeguards such as constant contact, phone numbers, addresses, etc. I think the biggest safeguard would be if someone would help, would have the monthly payment taking right out of my bank account and put into yours...like a ACH I would think. I am almost positive this can be set up with my bank.

To everyone else...thank you for your advice. To respond to a statement, no this is not gambling related. Reality is I can't sell my car and I can't stop going to school. I have one more year of school and can almost taste it. To stop now would to be throwing away the last few years and I can't do this.

Your link doesn't work. It takes me to my hotmail.

-I can't take out a personal loan as my credit history has not been long enough...and my parents are not in a situation to co-sign

-I have already taken out federal student loans. However, my university's financial aid office says that loan will not be released until my summer balance is paid in full, which is the main reason for the loan I am asking for.

-I can't sell my car. Driving to work and school takes enough time as it is. Besides, the public transportation in this city is horrible.

-Thanks to everyone for the advice and constructive (and vulger) criticism.

-WVU,

I'll try to make that link work

Move back in with the folks, take some time off from school, at 15 bucks an hour you make plenty to work full time, sell your car...can't imagine what you are driving that costs 450 a month, and quit gambling for awhile...there has got to be a reason that you are on a gambling site....tear up your credit cards, and by the way, welcome to the real world..

Desination if your serious the above advice is one you should follow and quickly... this is SHARP advice

Dear *****, <o:p></o:p>
Thank you for attempting to post a loan listing on Prosper. We are unable to accept your listing because your Experian Scorex PLUSSM credit score was below 520. A score of at least 520 is required to be eligible to post a listing in the Prosper marketplace. <o:p></o:p>
Prosper uses a credit scoring system that assigns a numerical value to the various items of information from your credit history. These numerical values are based upon the results of analyses of repayment histories of large numbers of consumers. The information in your credit history resulted in an Experian Scorex PLUSSM credit score that was below the minimum score needed to post a listing. <o:p></o:p>
The most important factors affecting your credit score were: <o:p></o:p>
§ Number of recently delinquent accounts. <o:p></o:p>
§ Number of accounts with high balance-to-limit ratios. <o:p></o:p>
§ Age of accounts. <o:p></o:p>
§ Available credit on open revolving accounts. <o:p></o:p>
The Experian Scorex PLUSSM credit score is a proprietary credit score developed and provided to us by Experian, a consumer reporting agency. Experian played no part in our decision to limit listings to people with credit scores of 520 or above and is unable to supply specific reasons why we were unable to accept your listing. You have a right under the Fair Credit Reporting Act to know the information contained in your credit file at Experian. You also have a right to a free copy of your report from Experian, if you request it no later than 60 days after you receive this notice. It can be obtained by contacting Experian at www.experian.com, toll-free telephone no. 1-888-397-3742. In addition, if you find that any information contained in the report you receive is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to dispute the matter with the reporting agency. <o:p></o:p>

Dante,
It really is great advice. Only problem is, home is 1.5 hours away and my internship is up here at school.

Thanks dude, hit the nail on the head.

Fellas...I'm sitting here NOT asking for a handout. I want to handle this the right way. If someone would be willing to help me out payments would start sept. 1st and come right from my bank account to their's. I would also want to sign a promissory note, contract, etc. too. You can have all of my phone numbers, emails, contacts, addresses etc. etc...I'm not going anywhere. A man has only his word, and I don't break mine.

I have to go to work now until 9, but if anyone is interested, please post on here (which I have a feeling you might get riduculed) or get my personal email from a mod and we can talk on there.

WVU, I would not feel comfortable posting that on an open forum. But I would have no problem doing that in an email to you. Let me know if that works and I will send it to you when I get home tonight.

Credit Card Companies line up to give full time college students credit cards. Look into that.

Desination...how good is your word if your credit report has you at < 520? A credit report is the only indicator we have of how good your "word" is.

check my profile for my email and I will see if I can help or steer you the right way.

Something is amiss here.
Even with a low credit score, can't you get a credit card or two and put your tuition on that? There's more to this story I think
