Glad I didn't play those 2. Who needs 2 winners?

These are so square. So sad. Should probably just count them as losses now.

Houston Astros/St. Louis Cardinals u7.5 -115: Cris Carpenter has been darn good lately (except for that last one against Pitt...thanks Cris). In general the Astros aren't exactly Murderer's Row. Lance Berkman and Matt Holliday are likely out for the Cardinals today. Mike LaCoss and Bob Forsch have been chucking it well lately.
Chicago White Sox -125: John Danks has been very, very good. The White Sox bullpen has been very, very good. Max Scherzer on the road has been very, very bad. The Tigers bullpen has been very, very bad. Carlton Fisk calls a great game and contributes with the bat.
Seattle Mariners/New York Yankees u8.5 -105: Felix Hernandez typically dominates the Yankees. Phil Hughes got lit up last time out but even if that happens again the Mariners don't exactly put up scoreboard exploding numbers. Jamie Moyer and Andy Hawkins should keep the numbers low.
Los Angeles Angeles of Anaheim -122: Here's what this one comes down to for me: David Huff was good in his first start back. However the Indians pen has been so bad lately that unless he throws a complete game gem against the nuclear hot Ervin Santana, the Angels take this one. Bobby Grich is so good with the glove.

Thought I had the Mariners/Yanks in the bag when it was 2-1 in the 6th. Not so much. Let's see if we can keep the positive momentum going.

Arizona Diamondbacks EVEN: Mat Latos is not only missing a "t" in his name, he has not been his usual self this season. On the other hand Daniel Hudson after starting out slowly has been one of the best pitchers in baseball. The Padres normally reliable bullpen seems to be in wait and see mode regarding the trade deadline. The Diamondbacks have the more potent offense as well. David DeLucci getting it done with the glove and bat.
Oakland Athletics -125: We are witnessing the demise of this year's Rays team. I look for them to trade Upton by the deadline and start building towards next year. Meanwhile Rich Harden looked downright nasty against the Yankees last time out and the 27 different pitchers in the pen should be enough to finish this one up for the Athletics. Mickey Tettleton calls a great game and gets clutch hits.
Toronto Blue Jays - 1 and 1/2 +125: Carlos Villanueva has been a nice find for the Blue Jays. Even with some inflated numbers in his last few starts, it makes sense when you look at the level of competition he faced. The addition of Rasmus makes their already potent lineup that much more powerful. The Orioles are their usual mess. Brad Bergeson is a borderline AAA pitcher. Garth Iorg flashing the leather at the hot corner.

8/1/2011 (84-98-1 -10.18 gigahertz)

Nothing for me today...but if I were I would take a chance on Cleveland (Tomlin) at big plus money and also no score in the first inning in that one.

Texas Rangers +109: Max Scherzer has been good at home. Colby Lewis has been good on the road and stellar in his last 7 games. Both teams can hit. The difference....Rangers new and improved bullpen. Have to take them at + number. Looking for Rafael Palmeiro to have a big night with the lumber.

Apparently I can only pick games when I don't play them.

8/4/2011 (84-99-1 -11.18 stuff)

Cleveland Indians +154: Love Masterson versus Bedard. Indians have played them close in every game this series, have huge pitching advantage here. Someone tell Andre Thornton to get the bat going.
Indians/Red Sox NO Score, 1st inning -110: Barker/Hurst....catch the action.

Suckfest 2011 continues. Let's add to the pain of the Giants loss...the starter Bumgarner is on my fantasy team as is the closer Wilson who gave up the lead. Awesome!

8/16/2011 (91-110-2 -15.09 piles of crap)

Indians +115: Need some Ubaldo of old magic.
Rays +145 1st 5 GAME 1 and +130 1st 5 GAME 2: Rays have SP advantage in both games....if they can at least split it's a win.
Rays/Red Sox GAME 1 Total R, H, E under 26 -110 3 UNITS: Trying something a little different. Let's see how this one blows up on me.

Indians +142: Isn't this about the time Buehrle hits a rough patch every year?
Rays/Red Sox NO score 1st inning -105: Maybe a couple of line drive outs?
Indians/White Sox NO score 1st inning -120: Buehrle won't fall apart until the second inning...maybe.

Red Sox/Royals Total R, H, E under 27: Beckett is Beckett and Hocheavar actually pitched well against Boston last time out.

Welcome to Disaster Saturday or as I call it....the last day I cap baseball unless something good happens.

White Sox +130: Ogando exceeding previous years innings significantly. Fisk has one good run left in him.
Rangers/White Sox Total R, H, E under 26 -110
Reds/Pirates Total R, H, E under 27 1/2 -120
Reds/Pirates NO run in the first inning -115

The loss on Sunday was more than I can take. I finally realized (takes me awhile) that I do not have the time to dedicate to capping baseball correctly. Last season was profitable due to sheer luck. This season was the opposite. I'm done for the year and going to regroup for football.

Thanks to everyone who posts here and shares their insights. Thanks as well to those who read the garbage I posted. Hopefully it helped in someway.

Good luck with the rest of the season.

FINAL: 99-122-2 -17.13u
