Fish, tell us who you think should be 1 and 2??
Maybe Notre Dame..hmmm... the same Irish team that Ohio St destroyed?
Maybe USC?? hmm.. didnt Texas just beat them?? I think they did.
Maybe Oklahoma? How many games did they lose last year, was it 4?
Lot easier to say 1 and 2 are over rated. I want to see if you will go on a limb and give us your 1 and 2?????????
Let's hope Miami takes Louisville because if not, they will most likely go unbeaten. Don't think playing in that crap ass conference should entitle anyone to national title game. Think SEC is too deep for Auburn to go unbeaten.Fishhead said:#1 AUBURN
#2 LOUISVILLE
In fact, the MIAMI FL @ LOUISVILLE game the week following the OHIO STATE @ TEXAS game is a match-up of great importance on par with the OSU/TEXAS and probably more so.
If LOUISVILLE gets by MIAMI, they are looking dead in the eye at a great chance of going undefeated.

2005 MICHIGAN 23-20
2004 MICHIGAN 30-17
2003 IOWA 30-27
2002 IOWA 34-9 (biggest loss ever in big house for MICH)
2001 MICHIGAN 32-26
2000 X
1999 X
1998 MICHIGAN 12-9
1997 MICHIGAN 28-24
If my math is correct, MICH has outscored IOWA by one point in the past 7 meetings between the two.
It would appear to this observer that IOWA competes very well with the great big BLUE.

Fishhead said:Please note, Iowa DESTROYED OSU the previous year 33-7, so previous years match-ups mean a little, but not a whole lot.
The game you are refering to had IOWA coming into Columbus bruised and battered with injuries and OSU having a chip on their shoulder for being embarrassed the year before in IOWA CITY..................and the result was not shocking to me.
By the way, perhaps not by a LOT as you say..............but OSU is not near as good as last year and IOWA will be better.

When I look at the recruiting, most of the top qb's, rb's, wr's are not considering Iowa, nor do they get much out of Florida or California. I do remember when Hayden Fry was there, he built a nice little pipeline to Texas for talent. He is a great gameday coach though.
