Me too, same program, just further down the road. 3 kids 13, 15 ( boys ), & 19 girl in college. I could not have imagined how deeply I could care about another human until having kids. They are what holds my wife and I together --- on many occasions. I have no regrets, they are worth wethering the storms that occur in a marriage. Nothing in my experiences in life, even come close to the joy of being a parent.
Now, when the last boy reaches 18 ----- I may be on to the next party ---- I'm not sure and won't be till I get to that point.
It's the best of times, and worst of times, all the time in life, in my view. I try to focus on the wins and forget about the losses as soon as possible.
On that note, I'm going to grab the kids and get the hell out of Houston before the storm hits --- even if she is stupid enough to think we should
" ride it out ".
If she decides to stay, my advice to her will be to keep her free hand high and don't forget to keep spurring till the ride stops !
