These guys know their stuff.

The brown is just oxidation, the smell tells you if it is rancid. As always ground beef should be well cooked. In future you could put the excess back in the freezer although it is much better to divide and freeze as you bring it home from the store.

Just remember that official warnings are always overly cautious because they are motivated by:

1) fear of lawsuits, and

2) contribution to the economy

They want you to throw it out so you don't sue them and consume more overall. That's good for the system but bad for you. Just another example that the system is NOT your friend and it pays to question it from time to time.

Same is true for medical visits. The doctor will always prescribe you something even if you don't need it because of the same 2 reasons above. He doesn't give a rats ass that you feel like a piece of sh*t for a week from all the side effects. He's just another cog in the big socio-technological machine trying to get you to play your part and not notice you're being duped.
