SYDNEY (AP) — The Obama administration has begun directly providing weapons to Kurdish forces who have started to make gains against Islamic militants in northern Iraq, senior U.S. officials said Monday.

I haven't misrepresented a thing. I apologize if you can't understand my support of airstrikes that could potentially prevent the barbaric slaughter of innocent women and children. I also apologize if you can't understand my lack of support for your desire to leave ISIS to do as they please in hopes that at some point down the road a world coalition might be formed that can stop them. I guess I'm just not that worried about pissing off terrorists that already don't like the US to begin with.

Let me phrase it better. We SHOULD NOT BE the World's Policemen. I have no problem with us being mediators for disputes, but Enforcing Policemen, actually getting involved militarily unilaterally, absolutely not.
That's a great strategy until some emperor decides to bomb your naval base in Hawaii, or some mad man decides to throw a few million Jews into ovens, or some guy living in a cave like a goat herder decides to use planes to destroy a couple of commercial buildings and kill more than 3,000 Americans (after trying to blow up said building 8 years prior).
ISIS has declared war on us, they said they will attack us on our soil. Do you want to wait for that or confront them on their soil or the soil they are taking at the time. You forget you are an infidel. To them there is no difference between a dem or a rep because we are all simply infidels. We are the evil West. This whole ISIS thing should be used as a rallying point and that topic should not be political at all. It is about protecting our native soil. We should be involved militarily unilaterally and unpolitically to stop ISIS and Hamas for that matter because we are a potenetial target. Do you wait until your grass is 3 feet high before you mow.

Instead send your soldiers, the ones we humiliated in Iraq.”
“We will humiliate them everywhere, God willing, and we will raise the flag of Allah in the White House,” he added.
The video is the first of a multipart series on ISIS VICE Media says it plans to release. VICE Media reporter Medyan Dairieh recently spent three weeks in the ISIS-controlled Syrian city of Raqqa, which the terror group has proclaimed the capital of its newly declared Islamic caliphate.

We'd like to help but Congress has to be summoned back in session so that every bloviator in our pathetic national legislature can tweet some inanity, issue a news release and wonder what this effort will do to the budget?
In the meantime, people will die of starvation or thirst or a bullet in the back because we didn't do what we could easily do.
This is not who we are. This is not who we should be.
I recognize that these are not easy issues. I recognize further that we are a war-weary nation and that events in the Middle East are so convoluted, they redeem the preposterous plots of "Homeland."
But, Lord, how did the moral center of the American left get so isolationist and selfish?
