I wasn't talking about the methods, just the time frame.

I understand.

In politics things can change quickly. I do not think in a years time from today you are going to be any happier.

This country is on a path of destruction.

The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan a long with the stock market banking ponzi scheme have sequentially come at the worst time. Adding health care at this time is going to absolutely destroy us. And I for one do believe we need some form of reform in health care. Just not this plan at this time.

A couple of years, how long did it take Reagan to turn around the rescission early in his first term?

Most of the time I don’t agree with you. But you do reply when asked a question. Comparing Reagan to BO is ridicules, they are complete polar opposites. All I wanted from the Funkyman was an answer on how long he’ll give BO before he will decide if he’s doing a good job or not. It’s standard liberal boiler plate to say “he’s only been in office for blah, blah, blah”. Well, define blah. Two years, three, four?

I respect someone who will give their opinion whether I agree or not, but fence sitting don’t make it.

it's been a year guys....a better question might be, if the election was tomorrow, would you vote for him regardless of who the competition might be, or vote for the competition regardless of who it was?

Neither. I don't vote for anyone because I don't like the competition. This is why I have never voted for a Democrat or Republican for a federal office other than Ron Paul in the 2008 Presidential Primary and as a write in for the general election.

B, can go to a B+ if healthcare goes through.

I wasn't a hope & changer though, I didn't really expect Washington to do a 180. I wanted a non-Clinton leader of the Dem party.

The one thing he should be killed for is recovery.org. I know what he's trying to do with transparency here is pretty unprecedented but it's a complete mess. Not fact checking these grants/funds that are reporting these numbers is inexecusable. They are also trying to quantify something that's really not quantifiable. They're getting smoked in the media and losing the messaging rightfully so.

Don't worry I'll give my opinion when asked @)

Obviously Reagan and BO have different ways of growing the debt and deficit. Reagan did it through reducing government revenue, BO is doing it by increasing expenditures.

We'll see how it works out.

You were not asked. But thanks anyway.

First of you need to brush up on your history. Second the country was far better off during Reagan than they are now or for the next three years.

Hard to remember I was very young during the Reagan years. One thing I do remember from the Reagan years was that people could have differing opinions on social issues and their patriotism and love of America was never questioned.

Dave, I would give 2-3 years these are some obviously huge obstacles to over come. Unemployment rate 10% or so and economy still in the mud. Everything else I am fairly O.K. with.

Besides, WTF else are the options ?!

As Americans we have no choice but to hope Obama pulls it off.

Guess your view of history depends on whose shoes your in, By late in Reagan's 1st term he had armed Iran and Iraq in exchange for oil thereby wrecking our domestic oil boom an forcing my wife to virtually give away her house in Bartlesville and move to take bankruptcy law.

The unemployment figures now are only beginning to match those of that era. Every U-Haul trailer from the Midwest was parked in Texas and then construction dried up here. That's when I closed my business and took up horse handicapping.

Republicans love Regan because he was a cowboy who stood up to the Russians. They caved in because after 50 years of the cold war and the space race they were broke. If Harvey Milquetoast had of been president then he would of been a hero. Reaganomics was a disaster, he nor any other republican has a clue about how to right the economy, they are led by failed principals that they will not lay down.

Unfortunately we have not learned anything from the Russians. The military-industrial complex keeps stirring up new windmills for us to joust so we spend until we are broke.

Three and half years should about do it for me, at which time I'll likely have a good feeling for how I'm going to vote in November 2012
