Since everyone is giving lessons, I am looking for more distance....what can I do for more booming drives....I am lefthanded, over 50, and now hitting maybe 220-230 yard drives, leaving me with alot of woods to the long par 4's...

A friend of mine did something similar to that with his driver and it did cut down on his slice. Now he has to watch out that he don't hook the ball. I also recommend going out and getting yourself some of those cheap Top Flight 3000 low spin golf balls. They don't go as far, but they work very well in staying on line better. At least they do for me.Ok here you go..I'll make it short and simple. Go get a driver with not much loft and semi stiff shaft. Take it to the pro shop and have them add an inch at the top (grip area) of the club. Add a little lead tape to the bottom back of the head of the club. This extra weight at the head of the club will give you a whip/snap effect at impact and allow you to get much distance without much effort and also get height as if it was a higher degree loft. And it's legal. I use to have 2 of the same type driver with different lofts for different courses. When I used the driver that I had fixed up in tournaments, I was always one of the longest drivers out there. I suggest experimenting with a cheap driver just to try it out.

I'm not trying to be mean spirited, but there is some bad imformation in this thread. Good Luck
whalewager, I've witnessed some of the highest $$$$$ golf games ever played when there was a gallon of "grease" on each golf cart.
That's almost as bad as getting pissed off and throwing your clubs in the lake, only to remember you left your car keys in the bag.I HEAR YA...
I had an Uncle that I used to ride with when I was a kid...I felt greasy when I got home...vaseline everywhere...
never forget some of the characters on the course growing up...
saw a guy so pissed he drove his cart in a pond and walked out the other side...
