I had a beef with another poster in this thread on the topic of Arrieta will win the Cy Young.....I say yes he says no.

I don`t see me using any F-Bombs in this thread.

I debate my way.....I don`t see any name calling.

We`ll see what happens when the award is given out in October......If I`m wrong I`ll admit it.

I look at it this way.......I anticipate him being a 20 game winner....17 wins with 6 more starts.

Zack will be hard pressed to get to 20......14 now.....He has to win his remaining 6 starts.....That won`t happen.

20 games is a big deal this day and age......Throw in his 2.11 ERA and his no hitter.

I see a Cy Young award.....Like I said we`ll see come October.

He just completed a month in which he went 6-0 with a 0.43 ERA and allowed just 19 hits in 42⅓ innings pitched.

Arrieta likely to get more run support from Cubs lineup than Zack will get from Dodgers. If we can go on what we've seen thus far & especially recently. Maybe Dodgers won't even hassle with BRINGING bats with them on remaining Road Trips, its not as though they are using them and it's such a hassle to move them. That many bats combined are Heavy. If I was Dodgers Equipment Mgr. I'd have to ask: "Why are we even hassling with bringing all these damn bats with us, movin this load of heavy ass wood, weighing ourselves down when we could be accomplishing exactly the same thing that we are WITHOUT all these bats?

That would be a Valid Question.

See this is where you are wrong. You need to work on your reading comprehension.

This is what I actually said.

Yeah I think it's between those two. It's very close right now. Arrieta now has the no-no, Greinke had that incredible scoreless streak though, so I think that's a wash.

Really depends on how they both finish.

Harry we are having a debate and a disagreement.

It happens everyday here at the RX.....20 times a day.

You don`t see no F-Bombs from myself......I`m keeping it clean.

So,I brought 20 statements from Twitter to the fight.....Big deal......Just makes me feel like I`m not alone with my strong opinion on the topic.

To be honest with you.....I`m all talked out on the topic......We`ll just have to see what happens in October when the award is presented.

If I`m wrong and he don`t win the Cy Young I`ll take the verbal abuse and admit I`m wrong.

Until then......Good luck!

Greenie, I think you are the only one arguing. We are telling you it's not a forgone conclusion lock for arieta. Nobody is saying to come back after season for a beating for a right or a wrong decision.

The fact you took to twitter for evidence to support your reasoning minutes after a no-no is laughable. It's twitter!!!! That's like if you were to use wikipedia for a thesis source.

Reasonable opinion. This is exactly what I said earlier. Actually I said it was a tie right now, and this Greenbacks idiot berated me for even saying that.

How dare I say that the league leader in most meaningful categories even be considered?

Guy is a tool, a lunatic, and an idiot. I'm done.

Okay......We`ll see who the Cy Young is......LMAO.

You got killed in this thread cause you're a fucking moron. All I said was this.

Yeah I think it's between those two. It's very close right now. Arrieta now has the no-no, Greinke had that incredible scoreless streak though, so I think that's a wash.

Really depends on how they both finish.

After you suddenly remembered that Greinke might actually be a consideration in this race you said this.

Arrieta is ahead of Greinke in the cy young voting at the moment in my book.

Arrieta.....17-6 with a 2.11 ERA and the no hitter puts him over the top, plus his team is a contender.

Greinke...14-3 with a 1.61 ERA.

Arrieta is the one to catch.....No wash here bro.

Even though Greinke was still a -200 favorite to win the award at the time of this thread.

Then you proceeded to tell me I didn't know anything about baseball.

No one ever said Jake wouldn't win the Cy Young. You can't seem to grasp that.

Show me where I "said no to Jake". Just quote it once, any one place where I said Arrieta wouldn't win this award.

That's what I thought.

The new thread is after a magnificent September by Arrieta. I did say it would depend on how he finished, he finished well.

My stance back when this thread was started was if the season ended the day of this thread being started Zach would win.

That is still basically a fact. Although technically you cant prove it.

But I thought Jake still had a chance to win it if he finished strong.

He did and he will.

Yeah me too. The fact that the odds after this game were still Greinke -200 is basically proof that we were right.

Whatever.
