Its more annoying to me how Collinsworth defends the call. Earlier this year I heard them really go after the officials for bad calls and I bet they received a mandate to cool it

he didn't initially defend the call, but it's obvious the NFL does restrain game announcers

they're all muted

It’s a matter of what you get. Don’t get me wrong, I think the Refs should be full time employees and not 17 week warriors.

Replay showed conclusively that it was not a foul. But even if replay was used it probably wouldn’t had been overturned just because.

I’d like to think the Refs are impartial but too many times I’m left scratching my head.

But in the end the Pats covered, that’s all I cared about.

On one hand I want all the calls to be correct. To do that the games would last 5 hours long with review because the referees screw up so much.

On the other hand I want a quick, exciting game. To do that the calls are going to be awful most of the time.

Not sure what to think.

The game is too fast for the naked eye.....replay 99% of the time gets it right.....

I hated it at first but the game needs it.....

When a player is known for throwing cheap shots he will get flagged even on questionable plays. Saying that, kinda funny when a Pats fan bitches about the refs

Pats the most penalized team in the league my friend, at least as of a couple of weeks ago

I'm sure they're near the top

How Jeff Triplette has a job is not at all clear.

it's easy to argue he regained control and had control when he crossed the goal line, and lost it when he hit the ground. It clearly wasn't indisputable evidence, and the original call should of "stood". Since it's not a reception, he did not have to maintain control on the ground, simply have control at some point while in the end zone.

another day, the same crew will call it differently

not cheating, just stupid

I think the calls last night in the Cowboys / Eagles game greatly influenced the outcome of the game. They kept drives alive for the Cowboys on multiple occasions

Couple key third down holds against the Eagles were brutal but still doesn't excuse them from losing like they did.....need Foles back this week....
