Tweaked my bs meter, having seen hundreds if not thousands of tout claims that were nonsensical over 60 years of noticing. Monkey business was the rule, not the exception. With no regulation. No espn, no internet, no streaming. Remember ABC's wide world of sports. And in '67 Pro football weekly."

"Touts, who are also called handicappers, primarily sell information or "picks" rather than taking bets directly. This distinction allows them to operate largely outside of gambling regulations in most states. For example, some jurisdictions only permit sports handicapping if the claims are for "entertainment purposes only."
