Newsletter Tracking (through 9/29/2025)

The records here will reflect the lines listed in the newsletters at the time the plays were published. This is for the rated plays, the high-ranking plays, and any type of play worth tracking. There’s no reason to keep track of every bottom-tier or “recommended” play; it’s not worth the work.

Sometimes the newsletters will cheat a little by claiming a different common or later line if it turns a loss into a push or otherwise boosts their record. I’ll usually be able to note what happened to explain the discrepancy.

I’ll also highlight particularly good or bad weekends or short-term runs. I will not include picks from newsletter issues that we don’t get in time.

After a few weeks, I'll color-code the hottest and coldest records. Usually just anything hitting/missing around 70% or more with a reasonable sample.

Mixed bag so far this year, nothing standing out yet. ITPB NCAA starting to look like a decent fade, and Red Sheet, if we keep getting that one. Bondi's top plays look good so far, but small sample.

College Football Week 5 Misleading Final Scores

Florida State out-gained Virginia 514 to 440 yet lost in OT 46-38. Equal turnovers at 3, but poor red zone defense and field position got the Semis.
ASU out-gained TCU 498 to 269 yet only won 27-24. They won the turnover battle 3-1 but a terrible start to the game with poor special teams hurt them.
Navy outgained Rice 455 to 234 yet only won 21-13. A 1-0 turnover ratio and field position got them from covering.
Texas A&M out-gained Auburn 414 to 177 yet only won 16-10. A 1-0 pick 6 turnover ratio did them in.
Jacksonville State out-gained Southern Miss 390 to 377 yet lost 42-25. A nasty 4-1 turnover ratio smoked em.
Marshall out-gained Louisiana 501 to 461 yet lost 54-51 in overtime. They won the turnover battle 2-1, but poor special teams and red zone defense got the herd.
UTEP’s yards were mainly garbage time so no adjustement.

Let Down Spots:

Mississippi State gave their all hosting Tennessee and now they go to Texas A&M which is rough.
Cincinnati hosting Iowa State after beating Kansas outright.
Virginia at Louisville after the big Florida State win and students charging the field.
Cal hosting Duke after the Boston College win.
Illinois at Purdue after beating USC .

Get Up Spots:

Penn State at UCLA will want a big W after the horrible performance against Oregon State.
Alabama in a revenge spot hosting Vanderbilt.
Boston College at Pitt after a choke against Cal.
Washington at Maryland after the Ohio State ugly performance.
Purdue may want revenge on Illinois after last years whooping.

Look ahead spots:

Illinois looking past Purdue to Ohio State is one.
Texas A&M could look past Miss State to hosting Florida.
Northwestern could look past Louisiana Monroe to Penn State.
Oklahoma could look past Kent State to Texas.

Short Rest:
