well if thats the case, then i apologize, but as much as i follow football, i have never heard that...

I mean, that would mean that some team like alabama state or something at 7-5, would get invited to texas bowl over notre dame.....just never heard of that.....if thats the case, i am sure there would be enough 7 win teams from these small conferences that the 6 win teams wouldnt make it.....

Correct, would definitely lose money going to one of the small bowl games.
What's another million when your already paying $18 million to get rid of Weis fat ass. I can't wait to see what kind of idiot contract ND draws up for the next coach. The way you all go through head coaches, the next one you bring in should be working on consignment.

True, but the coach selection process is the only time that the Notre Dame football program is newsworthy. The rich old boosters can buy an expensive new coach, but it's too bad that they can't buy players. Time has passed this program by.

I guess you don't follow any recruiting rankings. I said it before and i'll say it again. If Charlie Weis could coach as good as he could recruit, there would be no search going on right now.

They must be recruiting a bunch of offensive players then, because it doesn't show on defense. Their speed on defense is a notch up from Army. Who is the last good defensive player to come out of Notre Dame? Todd Lyght about 20 years ago?

Justin Tuck, Tom Zbikowski, Chinedum Ndukewe have all come out recently and are all pretty good players IMO.
