Need advice on remedies to stop coughing

Going to try the pepper and ginger in tea. Still not up to going out to the store.
I took a nap, but before I did I actually coughed so much I threw up. Ironically that stopped the coughing for a while.

Maybe just go ahead and throw down some Rock-n-Rye. About the same affect I think and it's all ready to go in the bottle.

GD, you might seriously think about seeing a Doc if this is going on tomorrow.

I'm stubborn when it comes to seeing a doctor. I was back east with family and their was about 10 of us in a small house. My mother and father had the same cough yesterday they said. I'll monitor how they are doing as well since I'm pretty sure we got the same bug or virus. Traveling across the country likely did not help as well.

A bug is one thing. A virus is another. It doesn't just leave. You may just need to go on antibiotics for a week or so.

I'm saying all this because I think I got what you are talking about, without the throat itch. I suddenly feel run down for periods of time over the last couple days and I'm positive it's not the flu. Also have a small mouth sore. I've been here before but usually it involves my throat. If I'm dragging tomorrow, I'm making an appointment for Monday. All the Doc will probably due is take a culture from inside the mouth. He'll know if it's something antibiotics will clear up. Not only do I hate being sick, but I got a little biz to run. And things don't stop cuz I do.

My sister was so sick she was unable to attend my Grandmother's funeral when we were back there. She got a strep test, but I don't know what the results were.

If I don't feel better I'm going to have to visit the doc on Monday.

I had some shit about 2 months ago that lasted for over a month...hacking cough and coughing until u gag...go get a steroid injection and he will give u a script for some good stuff...its gonna last a while

Made it to the drug store and got some of the Deslym that Gravy had recommended. The pharmacist also said it was one of the best. Happy to report that the coughing, while not completely eliminated, is at a tolerable level now.

Take a tablespoon of honey and dissolve it in some hot water. Then add a tablespoon of vinegar and fill the rest of the glass with water. It should get rid of your cough right away.
