Ron Guidry and Vida Blue were pretty good in the 70's....Not sure how all the other great ones stack up if you just use stats from the 70's

And Sparky Lyle had some pretty big stats as well.........

Carlton, Seaver, and Palmer for sure. Nolan Ryan probably has to make it somewhere as well. Gaylord Perry possibly in the last spot?

if gibson pitched in only 1 game in the 70s he would be considered one of the best to me...he is probably the best ever along with Satchel
