You have to go by how high they were picked and their projection and things like that.
As far as the biggest reach it was when the Vikings took ponder in the top 10.
Especially considering how amazing they draft was.
So many future hall of gamers in that draft :
That draft might be the deepest in nfl history and they take that plug .
He was a 3rd round pick at best .
Tebow was probably the 2nd biggest reach.
He would have been late 2nd at best .
Jake Locker turned out pretty bad .
There were a lot of hall of famers in that draft but they were all gone by the time Vikings picked
It's not like they picked Ponder ahead of Watt, Miller, Cam, or AJ Green
Who are all of the future hall of famers in that draft?
LOLHow bout trubisky
1.Jamarcus Russell
2. EJ Manual
3. Vince Young
4. RG 3
5. Teddy Bridgewater
6. Christian Ponder
7. Jameis Winston
8.Manziel
9. Brady Quinn
10. Jake Locker
11. Blaine Gabbert
12. Michael Vick
13. Mark Sanchez
14. Josh Freeman
15.Sam Bradford
16. Tim Tebow
And probnably alot more. Those are the top names that come to mind.
This nis why I hate when teams take a qb high " just because they need one". You take them high because you think they will be an all pro for 15 years.
Look at the franchise qbs since 2000 that were taken high.
1. Aaron Rogers
2. Andrew Luck
3. Carson Wentz
4. Jared Goff ( POSSIBLY)
5. Eli Manning
6. Roethlisberger
7. Phillip Rivers
8. Matthew Stafford
So basically one every other year. There isnt a franchise qb in every single draft.
And then you have the so-so qbs
1. Cutler
2. Alex Smith
3. Cam Newton
