Gonzalez and Pomeranz have been giving up more runs as of late. Both teams are averaging off/def combined over 8 rpg. Padres scoring 6.2 rpg vs lefties. Nats scoring 5.36 rpg vs lefties. No brainer.

Combined, current Pirates hitters are batting .416 vs Bumgarner. Current Giants hitters are batting .321 vs Locke. Locke has a 5.92 era this year. Pirates are averaging 9.31 rpg combined off/def. Giants are 8.26. Both teams combined vs left handed pitching average 8.74 rpg. Everything screams the over. The total is at 7 for the simple fact that Bumgarner is pitching. Don't get fooled by this. Take the over.

Lackey at home vs Garcia. LOL. I'll take the -164 everyday.

This is probably my 1st wager on the Phils. It's all about the pitching matchup. Hellickson has had a couple recent poor outings, but over all he is a much betting pitcher than Shelby Miller. WHIP's are 1.86/1.26 edge Hellickson. ERA's 7.09/4.46 edge Hellickson. Miller gets the edge for run support, but he pitches in a hitter friendly ballpark. I was tempted to take the over in this game, and still may, but I think the stronger play is taking the Phillies.

Rockies/Marlins game tomorrow has the making of an inferno. Let's look at Clemens first. Just recalled from AAA. 4.60 era in AAA this year. 5.51 era in 48 major league games. He should get smacked around until he gets the mercy hook. De La Rosa is no bright light himself. 7.61 era. But wait. He plays in Colorado right? He's 0-2 on the road with a 14.40 era. Hitters on both sides are frothing at the mouth right now.

I feel comfortable going -170 here. Nova is way better at home. Bettis' era on the road is about the same as at a mile high. Yankees make sure they take care of business at home against a lesser opponent.

Giants -155 1.55 to win 1
Cueto is killin' it right now. 6-0 on the road. 10-1 overall. Going up against Wilfredo Boscon. WHO? If Boscon was any good, why has he only pitched in 18 games in the majors in 9 years. Let's go with past performance here.

Blue Jays under 9 -110 1.1 to win 1
I don't play many unders, but I'm loving this one. Corbin is very comfortable pitching on the road with a 2.66 era. Add Toronto's 3.94 rpg vs lefties, and we gotta give the Jays 3-4 runs for the game. Estrada is giving up 1.77 at home, 3.05 over all. DBacks scoring 4.12 rpg vs righties, we'll give them 3-4 runs for the game. I give this game 9 runs at the max, most likely under. I like the Jays to win this game, but at -181, it's gotta be a pass.

Tigers under 8.5 -105 1.05 to win 1
Both Paxton and Verlander quality and consistent pitchers. Verlander good past performance vs Seattle. Paxton has received incredibly low run support in his starts. I look for both of these starting pitchers to eat up some innings.

Rangers -195 1.95 to win 1
Lots of juice, but for good reason. Colby Lewis is groovin', 9 quality starts in last 10. 6-0 on the year. 2.81 era. DeSclafani is good so far, but still unproven. Rangers make sure they win this game at home.

Id be careful with that Tigers Under. How Paxton has a low ERA is beyond me...haha I think guys hit .300 against him... he has just been so lucky... Just my two cents...

Gave some back last night. It happens. Rockies have bases loaded, 1 out, and can't get one friggin' run. Cubs had their chances. I was way off on that Pirate over. Very well could have gone 4-2, but 2-4 was the day.

Padres are 11-20 on the road. Orioles 26-12 at home. Perdomo's era is close to 9, and Camden Yard won't be very forgiving. The Padres have trouble hitting righties (3.34 rpg). Tyler Wilson has been ok this year, but his last performance at Boston was impressive (8 innings, 3 hits, no runs).On top of that, the Orioles bullpen is very supportive with a 3.00 era. Orioles are scoring 5.15 rpg vs righties. IMO, this game is more lopsided than the odds show.
