Hello.
Thought this might be useful to a majority of you.

If you bring up the MLB.TV game selection screen (where they show all the games listed with the yellow TV box) and select the blacked out game, you will then get that message which states "OUR RECORDS INDICATE THIS GAME IS BLACKED OUT IN YOUR AREA...BLAH BLAH BLAH"

If you RIGHT CLICK inside that message box and select BACK

It will then go back to the game selection screen, below the area where the game usually plays, it will say "Buffering" and it will connect you to the "blacked out" game....

Tried this a few times over a few days to make sure it was valid.

Enjoy

Best way to get around blacked out games in your area now that hacking Directv has been finished for the last 18 months is to have a friend in another city exchange a box with you so both of you avoid local blackouts. Not sure what to do with MLB.TV on your computer though.

MLB.TV is blacked out by using the zip code off the credit card you sign up with....I will try ZZZ's method in the next couple days to see if it works for me as well.

Interesting loophole-that's for sure. Good to know that it's CC zip code based :103631605

Usually blacked out games are on TV. Only the stupid revenge situations they take on us in Vegas and a few other places do you get screwed out of games you should be able to watch.

If you get a credit card with a mailing address in another country, none of the games are blacked out, even the Saturday games when Fox has a national blackout in the U.S. :suomi:

The Toronto home games are blacked out in Canada when they are broadcast Nationally on TV. Otherwise I get everything.

Move to Europe, only advice I can give. Nothing gets blocked in that part of the world.

Thanks

MLB tv is not done via the zip code on your credit card. I used my New York credit card to sign up. When in europe i can watch all games, when in New York, those games are sometimes blacked out, when in Vegas, local games round there are blocked out.

I assume using IP address from your computer they know where you are connecting to internet from.

Angels and Dodgers games are supposed to be blacked out for my zip code in L.A, but I have a CC with a European address and nothing gets blacked out for me.

I really like your idea! However, you might consider changing the title!

You state that this is the LEGAL way to receive these games. Well, I am not sure that it is illegal to watch them in blackout markets anyway. But lets say that it is for this example, well I am not sure that I would call this the legal way either!

If you can find a law that states right clicking on my Internet Explorer browser and clicking the "BACK" option as being even SOMEWHAT illegal....I will give you $1,000,000.00 and DOC'S picks of the day for one year.

Not exactly a moral thing to do, but I will agree that the system works for now!

Should be great INFO for Saturday games that are not on FOX

By the way, I used your system for the past 4 days just to check on it watching the Astros and the Rangers, and it definitely works. Of course, I didnt need it , since these games were already on TV for me, but i think that the game tomorrow is not on TV

I would agree if it were hacking the system

As I stated earlier, Clicking BACK on a browser window to me is not exactly a moral issue

Everyone is different
