I always find it strange that those who claim to stand for America and all of its freedoms are so opposed to people expressing their opinions. Of course a lot of the people so upset about players kneeling during the anthem have expressed support for white nationalists and supremacists right to speak or gather or chant their racist views. I agree that they should also be afforded the same protections if done in a peaceful manner, it just strikes me as funny that many here show support for them. Kind of confirms the bias expressed by the players IMO.

The crux of the matter is this.

African Americans don't view the protests as disrespectful.

A majority of America (polling shows this) finds the protests very disrespectful.

Simple.

You gave 0 evidence to support your "facts."

Fact is, you're an America-hating liberal lettuce muncher

War has always been about resources and control. Alongside the supposed surprise discovery of Afghanistan’s $1 trillion wealth of untapped minerals, the Taliban had successfully eradicated the opium crop in the Golden Crescent before the US invasion. Now, more than 90% of the world’s heroin comes from the war torn country.
As reported by Global Research:
“Immediately following the October 2001 invasion, opium markets were restored…By early 2002, the opium price (in dollars/kg) was almost 10 times higher than in 2000. In 2001, under the Taliban opiate production stood at 185 tons, increasing to 3400 tons in 2002 under the US sponsored puppet regime of President Hamid Karzai.”
After more than twelve years of military occupation, Afghanistan’s opium trade isn’t just sustaining, it’s thriving more than ever before. According to a recent report from the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, 2013 saw opium production surge to record highs:
“The harvest this May resulted in 5,500 metric tons of opium, 49 percent higher than last year and more than the combined output of the rest of the world.”
Wow, that’s a lot of opium – and a lot of money being made. So, who is reaping the spoils?

Or, the African Americans that are protesting or those that agree with the protest aren't deadly concerned with whether people view them as "disrespectful" because they probably view what they are protesting about as a bigger issue.

The majority of white Americans probably don't care about what they are protesting...they were taught to respect the flag and really don't deal with the same issues as a lot of blacks. So, they may not care.

More talking, less hate.

So why don't you answer your question for us. Who is reaping the spoils?

And you still haven't addressed your original contention that the US is there "stealing resources". What the hell does that mean?

And even if you are somehow correct about either of your above contentions (very much not likely), we have young American men there fighting the fight, some who will lose their lives and some who will come back maimed for life.

They, and all the other Americans who have fought for this country (like Bourn said, over a million lost lives) deserve the respect of ALL Americans. The anthem and the flag symbolize their sacrifice.

Find another way to make your bs protest. The flag and the anthem are sacred.

Anyone else see the irony in Pence using an NFL football game to flaunt his politics?

Oh I know. It just creates further division though.

Another false narrative.

Truth is that Pence was invited there for Peyton Manning's ceremony. You probably are not making the connection that Indiana is not only his home state, but he served in the US Congress for Indiana before becoming Governor, from which he became Donald Trump's choice of VP.

He has every right to stand by and for the flag and anthem and those who died for them. His response to those disrespecting our country, was to walk out. I would expect nothing less from a Vice President of the United States. Some, most, of us applaud his reaction to those ingrates. And if you condone their actions, that means you too.
