Jordan also had Scottie Pippen, a Dream Teamer, All-NBA 1st Teamer for many years, All-NBA Defensive 1st Teamer for many years, top 50 greatest player of all time. And Jordan didn't win a single title until Scottie Pippen arrived on the Bulls.

If you double or triple-team Jordan, he'd kick it to Pippen and then Pippen would kill you. So you'd have to play Jordan single coverage a lot of times.

If you double or triple-team Lebron, he'd kick it to...Sasha Pavlovic? Lebron doesn't have the single coverage luxury that Jordan had.

Let's be real.

Ok, let's be real. The eastern conference today compared to the eastern conference of Jordan's game is a big :lolBIG: :lolBIG: :lolBIG: :lolBIG:

Comparing this Pistons team to the bad boys is a big :lolBIG: :lolBIG: :lolBIG: :lolBIG:

You are the naive one if you think those guys would be as effective in todays game, especially Russell. No way he puts up those video game like numbers in todays game. It is ludicrous to think otherwise.

I think some championship teams from the late 80s and early 90s could give the Spurs a run for their money. The talent level nowadays is nowhere close to what it was back then, but the teams played great fundamentally and the top teams were absolutely stacked. Was their even a salary cap of any sort back then? Lots of All-Stars on one squad...

I think some of those Lakers and Pistons teams could compete with today's Spurs, although the overall talent in today's game is so far beyond the talent in those years.

I can assure you that Bird, McHale, DJ, Ainge, Parish and Walton or Magic, Worthy and Kareem could more than hold their own against today's top team which is SA - last time I checked Bird and Magic played in the same era as Jordan - when did they become artifacts? But it's my fault - I sit here - read this type of shit - and get upset with the children that write it.

Chop...ever hear of these players...Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson, Mike Jordan, Elgin Baylor, Geoge Gervin, and centers that I haven't named yet?? Give your man some time, and then come back and tout the shit out of him...I think he might be the next great star not to win an NBA Championship in his lifetime...what do you think of that....

CHOP - Easy now comparing James to Jordan... I HAT Jordan but the guy is the best player to ever play the game. No way you can compare James to Jordan... It's 2 completely different eras. There is NO defense in today's game... You can't compare scoring ability when comparing players of today to players from a decade ago... Defense is not taught anymore, only Slam Dunks and 3 pointers...

Besides Jordan's career FG % was 49%. James high, not average, but high is 47.6% and has been going down each year. Jordan could also shoot FT's an art that has been lost in today's NBA.

Lebron also has 3 other guys on his team that average double figures... Besides Pippen who did Jordan have.... oh yeah, Kukoc, Kerr, and Cartwright...LOL.

Before we call James the best of all time let's wait and see how many championships he wins in the watered down era of the NBA....

To say that LeBron is even close to being in the top 5 NBA
players ever is a akin to a total premature ejaculation.

He's not in the top 10 right now, maybe not in the top 20.

Nobody will ever be better than Jordan. There is no sense in even uttering those words, because it will never happen. 2nd best is all we're playing for, but I agree that LeBron will ultimately become the 2nd best player of all time.

I never said age was not an issue.

Yes I am saying he is one of the 5 best players of alltime. 2 weeks from now that could be upgraded to #1.

This is one of the dumbest statements I've ever read in my entire life. The thought that there are people out there who truly believe things like this, who actually think like this, makes me want to kill myself. It's that depressing and sad.

Here's hoping Michael Vick takes you out back and puts you out of your misery.

There's a 0% chance you're NOT a premature ejaculator in bed. Zero.

Actually, you can determine that from your posts...but I cheated. Journeyman told me.

I hope you are not joking.

That would be great.

C'mon Chop, don't ruin this day for Lebron with your ridiculousness

I'm the biggest Lebron homer on the boards, ask Addict. But you can't compare him to Jordan. They're different types of players. Jordan was all finesse with his acrobatic moves and his pure shooting ability. Lebron is pure power and aggressiveness with a wicked fadeaway jump shot that leaves you scratching your head on how it went in.

Lebron will create his own legacy in the NBA one day, theres no sense comparing him to former players because he is different than anyone that has ever played in the NBA.

Huh? Jordan all finesse? Lebron is 6'8 203... Mike was 6'6 200 pounds... Jordan went to the hole with serious power... Just like Lebron... And he isn't different then anyone who has ever played the game...

I don't know where the Jordan all finesse thing came from

Lebron is 6'8" 203??? You really think Lebron only weighs 3 more pounds than Jordan did?

Try 6'8" 240 lbs, Einstein.

Bill Simmons said it best - Jordan was a graceful Wide Receiver, Lebron is a bruising, powerful Tight End

Did someone really say James weighs 203? Holy shit this takes the cake - without a doubt the most moronic statement I have ever seen here - he weighs 240 plus - he's jacked with muscle and 6 foot 7 inches.

Anyone who thinks Jordan was a finesse player just never seen Jordan play. That is laughable.
