Of course NYY are stuck with J Giambi long-term, very bad deal. AZ spends money. AZ and Mets aren't going to be play-off teams real quick. NYY will hit the skids in future. They will have no minor-league talent, GS will die, NYY will have too many A-rod type players ( salaries), fans won't be able to afford tix.The mighty Yanks will fall, and go through a rebuilding phase eventually.
Unless team ownership ( new ?) considers owning a baseball team, as a hobby, doesn't care about profit. Maybe Bill Gates buys Yankees ? George Steinbrenner era is nearing a close, dude must be about 75 years old ( didn't check ). I do see NYY as average, or bad 5-10 years from now.
