It's time to exhale. The Carmelo Anthony watch is finally over.
According to the Denver Post, the Nuggets and Knicks have agreed on a trade that will send the All-Star forward to New York. The Knicks are actually getting a package of players highlighted by Anthony and Chauncey Billups.
Heading to Denver will be Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, a pair of draft picks and cash.
Here's a breakdown of the trade, according to the Denver Post:
Knicks receive:
Carmelo Anthony
Chauncey Billups
Shelden Williams
Anthony Carter
Renaldo Balkman
Nuggets receive:
Wilson Chandler
Raymond Felton
Danilo Gallinari
Timofey Mozgoz
New York's 2014 first-round pick
Golden State's 2012 second-round pick
Golden State's 2013 second-round pick
$3 million in cash
I still can't believe some of the people bashing this trade like the Knicks got robbed. HELLO we are talking about Timofey Mozgov, Gallinari, Chandler and Felton! who they hell are they and what have they done! nothing! christ...this is Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups we are talking about here..
starting 5 is
Billups
Fields
Melo
Amare
Turiaf
with Brewer, Douglas, Azuibuke, Carter, Williams, Rautins, Mason Jr and Walker coming off the bench.
I just can't wrap my brain around people complaining about this deal, the Knicks just traded 4-5 players where maybe 1 would start a championship caliber team for freaking Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups. WAKE UP PEOPLE.
