Harrington,
First of all, sorry for the loss of your job.
However, this is not a time to get down. There will be challenges and frustration on the road to redemption. With that being said, make a list of positives things that you have and make you feel good about your life. For example, I believe you have stated you have a great relationship with your son, view this as an opportunity to only stregthen the bond. Stay in touch with friends and family. Continue to remain positive even in the face of negativity or negative thoughts.
Remember, there are always people who would kill to be in your position. There is only one thing that will determine how the next 12 months go for you, your mental state of mind and your mental approach. Continue to always remain positive and positive things will transpire.
Many people will suggest, take sometime and decompress, etc, etc. Don't get right back up on the horse, don't waste time, attack, attack, attack!!!!
