Of all the bad news you listed, losing your brother to cancer is the most painful and probably hurts the most. Jobs and women come and go, but family damn sure doesn't. I feel for you. Stay strong.

It really has been a tough year for you. I know this may be very difficult to imagine or even comprehend, but often times in life we are tested as to just how much we can bear and often times look back years later and find ourselves being a better person for having made and grown through our most difficult times. terrible news. have it be terrible news for 3 days...the grieving and frustration and pain phase is needed....

About 4 years ago my wife and I went thru what I call the "Summer of Hell". I lost my best friend to a heart attack, my son lost his best friend to cystic fibroisis, we had to drag my daughter kicking and screaming to the hospital to treat a life threatening illness which she still has today, and my wife's co-worker was diagnosed with lung cancer and eventually passed away. At least I have my job, and my wife. I hope you can lean on some good friends to help you get through the tough times, and I'll be rooting for things to start heading in the right direction for you.
