Looking at getting my first fence installed, what do i need to know

Having 2 ppl come out to do estimates tomorrow, what questions do i neex to ask? I want a 6 foot privacy fence

Ask if a permit is required.

I'd get more than 2 quotes also. You'd be surprised at the price differences. Make sure you're getting quoted on the same fencing (so you can compare apples to apples), this way you know what they're charging for labor.

I bet you could find some Amish to do it on the cheap. Not sure if you'd be willing to shuttle them back and forth though and whether or not you have the tools.

Who is doing it?
Like mentioned above, have them remove excess dirt, unless you need it somewhere else
Is this fence wood or vinyl?
If wood, is ALL the lumber treated?
The outside panels, what is the exact sizes of those planks, if they are like the ones that Lowes or HD sells ( 6' x 5'' by inch thick) then buy extra ones cause they are cheap and will not last you 4 months, you'll end up replacing them
