on a side note, you legalize Marijuana, the use of it will go down dramatically, alot of people start doing it because its Illegal (just the way the human brain operates)

(and while alot of people think, MaryJ is a gateway drug, thats bull shit)

then again, im a guy who believe that Mafia/MOB isnt all as bad as they are made out to be, shit the country was rolling in money when they were in charge of politics, and they dont harm anybody unless they deserve it, they go after people who want to play the game, and fuck up, not like they go after the regular citizen.

why, doper, are you scared of the truth, or your fried mind can't read and understand that much

This thread is titled legalize it. Don't patronize those who choose partake in it. Marijuana has not been proven to kill anyone. The same cannot be said about tabacoo and alcohol which can be purchased legally. Nobody stops you from buying fast food which is just as bad for you, do they? If people want to smoke it should be their right. Dont come in here and insult people. Or are you perfect? If you don't like the thread stay the hect out. Or your simple mind can't comprehend that.

A question I have is more about the business aspect of it rather than the legal aspect...

In CA/CO it is basically legal with a card that basically any doctor will give you for $75 bucks or whatever. If it became legal would it hurt the smalltime growers since big agribusiness would then takeover most of the production. I think that is possible but at the same time the really good growers would probably always be able to find a market for their stuff.

Anyone got any business/economic predictions involving weed being legal?

It should be a health issue if anything, not a legal issue.

an "education leader" frankly it sounds made up....did you give yourself this designation or was it bestowed upon you by the education grandmaster?

Eye learned a lot.

A lifetime criminal record - especially when it's a felony conviction - will do far more damage to Americans of any age (but most especially younger people) than any amount of marijuana use.

If you are someone who believes that increasing the potential damage to members of the community is smart policy, than 21st century Prohibition is certainly the policy for you to espouse.

Having worked in coordination with those who legalized MMJ in California and 14 other states during the years 1996-2009, I can comment on this with some accurate detail but will have to submit my post later. It's an intriguing question worthy of serious attention given that with each passing election cycle the places in the USA where American adults can legally possess, cultivate and or commerically distribute marijuana increases.

Well I live in the real world and have seen many 'dopers' who are wildly successful and ambitious. I have also seen many losers who do not partake in the drug.

Stay with me here...maybe there's not a causal relationship. Is it possible that some people's lives go down the shitter and some people succeed as a result of MANY OTHER factors having nothing to do with 'dope'?

As an educational leader I assume you will at least consider the alternative hypothesis.

A truly Awesome review of poorly researched* and mind-numbing blah blah from our federal government during the height of Nancy Reagan** War on Drugs hysteria. Thanks for the grin

*Since the inception of the DEA in 1971, the federal government has outlawed any and all research within the USA pertaining to the potential medical efficacy of marijuana.

**Nancy Reagan - along with her husband Ronald a lifetime addict to the drug tobacco - led the drive championed by her husband to make America "drug free by the year 1989". Comedy Gold

you are getting what i said confused and turning into a drug debate. i think it all should be legal all drugs hard core or not. i think it is personal decision is a right......i just think that lifetime smokers of marijuana show signs of " a dumbing effect" and there drive diminishes. let em smoke crack if they want to.

the government shouldn't be involved in anything in my opinion

So your revised submission is that cannabis users should switch to crack cocaine for their choice of medicine and/or general intoxicant?

You got almost 45k posts on this board, no need to submit a post later. You got the time!
