how do you keep a job and use?

Seriously? At least at my job, and I think this is quite typical of a desk job, you get a pre-employment screen and that's it. We don't do randoms unless you operate machinery. If you can't get clean to pass one test that you know is coming, well then, I guess you don't get hired in the first place.

As far as keeping a job, I don't get tested, don't intend on getting tested, and feel that "using" pot has absolutely zero effect on my work performance.

Saw this on 1 of the illegal sites I use to download TV shows/movies but I guess there is a new show on Nat Geo called American Weed. Its about how it is basically legal in Colorado now and the industry that is forming. Not sure if its any good but some of y'all might like it...

Bottom line is, you'll never be able to convince me or any other sane person that weed is more damaging to an individual or to society than alcohol. Or cigarettes. Or fast food.

It's just fucking stupid.

Either

a) Be sufficiently ambitious and enterprising to operate your own business

and/or

b) Refuse to work for an employer who insists you be subject to inspection of your private body parts. Well over 2/3 of the general employment work force in the USA is not subject to such tests without legitimate cause

Insurance companies are bringing on much of the testing.

Curious what their stats are for accidents and if if they are tied to particular drugs.

i don't think weed is more dangerous than alcohol

i do believe it effects your ambition and drive, i am witness to this with many people that i know, i know that everyone is not this way, but the majority of people who smoke continuously until they are middle age adults, lack drive and desire to better themselves and they become content with mediocrity

Same can be said about those with poor exercise habits, poor diet. And don't forget that some people are just lazy assholes that are content with the status quo.

My father has smoked his whole life, is in his mid-60s, and has NEVER lacked drive. I have achieved a great deal while smoking. A great deal.

Personally I don't buy the "pot makes you lack drive" argument for one second.

Well then this is a great reason to take anyone caught in possession of this life-stifling weed and place them into a prison cage and saddle them with a lifetime criminal record. That will spark their ambition to be better people for sure!

Sincerely,

A truly Awesome review of poorly researched* and mind-numbing blah blah from our federal government during the height of Nancy Reagan** War on Drugs hysteria. Thanks for the grin

*Since the inception of the DEA in 1971, the federal government has outlawed any and all research within the USA pertaining to the potential medical efficacy of marijuana.

**Nancy Reagan - along with her husband Ronald a lifetime addict to the drug tobacco - led the drive championed by her husband to make America "drug free by the year 1989". Comedy Gold

Thanks HarryC for some common sense

I myself can claim the social and professional distinction of being in the Top 10 all time posters here at the Rx Sports Forums. This in spite of the fact that I am under the influence of good weed approximately 52.679% of the time I am logged in to the site.
