LeBron reaches multiyear deal to shill for McDonald's

CLEVELAND (AP)

LeBron James is now shooting with a Golden Arch.

The NBA superstar has agreed to a multiyear partnership with McDonald's, adding the global fast-food giant to his list of corporate sponsors.

Financial terms were not immediately known.

James will support several McDonald's programs and promotions as well as Ronald McDonald House Charities, which provides housing to the families of seriously ill children. He has already filmed his first commercial with McDonald's. It will debut during the Super Bowl on Feb. 7.

James, a six-time All-Star with the Cleveland Cavaliers, has other partnerships with Nike, State Farm and Coca-Cola.

McDonalds is flat out sinister. Of course the general public has excepted these businesses through time and marketing efforts but they are about as bad as they come.

Shocking where some of their "food" comes from. But they can't be bad because they have a clown and have set up a couple charitable organizations (basically a marketing expense to offset all the rightly deserved bad publicity).

Well at least Mcdonalds has set up charities. When my son was having multiple surgerys in chicago we stayed at the Ronald McDonald house for several nights. They charged like $5 dollars a night was in a huge brownstone mansion in lincoln park. They feed you all 3 meals, free phones, internet, laundry it was a great experience. After that I'll never have anything negative to say about MCdonalds again. If you dont like their food don't eat it. But at least they are giving something back even if it's a fraction of what they earn a year..
