of course there is, if it was real, which it's not. These companies are regulated to have several layers of DR software installed that run on easily uploaded storage virtual machines. never takes a week or two to get back up, hours at most...perhaps one day. I've worked with many DR and ransomware firms and their SLA's are for HOURS not days which is why these companies pay a hell of a lot of money for something they hope they never need. Being in a heavily regulated industry Colonial would have needed several of these running at onceThat's getting out cheap.

yes, ransomware is a very real thing and i know a spine med device company down south that just paid $15M because they had no DR/ransomware solution but it is inconceivable that a highly regulated infrastructure company is allowed to function without certain levels of service in this area. not possible...like saying a bank doesn't have security software protecting online transactions
