These companies are regulated to have several layers of DR software installed that run on easily uploaded storage virtual machines. never takes a week or two to get back up, hours at most...perhaps one day. I've worked with many DR and ransomware firms and their SLA's are for HOURS not days which is why these companies pay a hell of a lot of money for something they hope they never need. Being in a heavily regulated industry Colonial would have needed several of these running at once

if gas is 7 bucks, then those it is essential for will get it and others who don't really need it or can find other means will either pony up or stay at home or carpool, whatever works

I would find this more likely than Russians doing it. Especially with Shaun Bridges quietly being released from prison for no reason recently.
