The main problem I have with comparing ANYONE to Jordan is the fact that Jordan won what? 6, 7 titles or so? Do you know what kind of a competitor you have to be to keep going out there, and playing to that level and stay hungry for titles? The guy wasn't human.
Do you know how easy it is to win 2 or 3, and just go, "I'm the man, I have nothing left to prove....I'm going into cruise control for awhile." Until you look back, you are near retirement and you get hungry again. Jordan never lost his hunger to be the best.
He stayed hungry. He didn't want to just win championships, he wanted to obliterate basketball. He couldn't stand losing, and somehow that guy was just never satisfied.
IF......IF Lebron goes out there and wins 1 or 2 titles, will he stay hungry enough for 3? 4? 5? 6? Or will the human elemrnt set in and he goes into cruise control. Can he stay healthy enough?
It takes such a special person to win 6 or 7 titles. You have to be an extreme competitor and I haven't seen that from Lebron yet. I have seen it in Kobe however. But Kobe is not Jordan, either. But he's got the hunger.
Lebron > Kobe Talent Wise
Kobe > Lebron Hunger wise and competitor wise
Jordan > Everyone until PROVEN otherwise
I'm not comfortable with Lebron going out there tonight and missing 5 free throws in the 4th quarter. Those are FREE THROWS. He makes those free throws and it's a whole different ball game. Where's the killer instinct? Where's the CONSISTENCY? If you're the best ever you don't miss those shots. It's not even an option to miss those shots.
Comparing Lebron to Jordan is so premature it's not even funny.
