"Jordan was a heist made no one better and his entire team hated him..."

wow...so, I guess the starting five of Ron Harper, Scottie Pipper, Dennis Rodman, Luc Longley, etc...would've won all those championships with some other average to good player in place of Jordan? Or are we just grossly underestimating Longley, Kerr, Paxson, Harper, Livingston, etc talents?

Many of Playoff games were won by Jordan trusting his teammates, and creating open shots for such big shots that Paxson, Kerr, etc hit.

wow

Jake,

If Jordan made people better then so does Kobe. They do it by opening up things for others.

Guys like D Fish or Devon George benefited from Shaq and Kobe the same way Horace Grant and BJ Armstrong benefited from Jordan and Pippen.

Awol... I am not even sure what you are talking about as I never came close to mentioning anything close to saying that they would have won without Jordan...

All I said was if people think Kobe makes anyone better then those same people should think Jordan made anyone better. Both were prolific scorers that were known to shoot too much. Both were not liked much by there teammates.

Many playoff games were won by lakers other than Kobe... Horry, D Fish, and George all hit game winning shots in the playoffs...

festeringZit, that is a joke, if u want to say kobe doesnt make his teamates better based on what GREG ANTHONY AND BETCRIS says then u are just stupid, let me tell you a fact buddy... steve nash gets the mvp this year, why? because "he makes his teamates better right?" and how do they emphasize this, that he had 5 teamates that had career years scoring right? its so played out that they even made a commerical about how 5 of his teamates had career years, well guess what NEWS FLASH guess how many of kobe's teamates had career years this season? FIVE, same as nash... oh but when nash does it he's making his teamates better and when kobe does it, HES BEING SELFISH RIGHT? dont even pull shit that it's because of somebody else on the team... WHO? last year kobe was having a shitty year (compared to this year) and none of his teamates had career years... is it a coincedince that kobe was playing the ball of his life and his teamates got better too? use ur own brain and stop believing what greg anthony and espn are feeding ur brian, it might help to form your own opinons ABOUT basketball for once... i know what are u gonna tell me, kobe is a rapist right? ok if thats all the ammo u have dont even bother arguing me.. u talk about how kobe has no class yet in the thread before you make a personal attack on kobe... u must be a pretty classy guy

Kobe is about .500 without Shaq. He alienates his teammates by shooting all the time and they don't play hard for him. Most of his ex-teammates say they hate playing with him. I don't recall anyone ever saying that with Jordan...

Lakers might have won over <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Detroit</st1:place></st1:City> if Malone did not get hurt in the last game vs. the Spurs. It was one of the biggest factors in them losing. Also they were on a 4 year run with many many old players. Not trying to take anything away from <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Detroit</st1:place></st1:City> just stating some facts...<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
I disagree about Lakers being better as there other supporting cast for the Heat was much stronger. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Give me J will, Posey, Haslim, <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Walker</st1:place></st1:City>, and Mourning any day over the week over Payton, Devon George, Derek Fisher, Horace Grant, Mevadanko, and Rick fox. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
To me, all that was proven was that Shaq needs a dominant 2 guard and solid supporting cast to win a championship. He did not lead them this year Wade did…
<o:p></o:p>
I am very happy for my boy Alonso to finally bring a ring to one of the Georgetown Big men. Congrats heat fans… <o:p></o:p>

ROFL. BWHAHAAHHAAHAH. Man, you truly are blinded by your "hero."

Let's look at some hard numbers shall we?

Lamar Odom had a career year in 2006? Hmmm... He averaged 14.8 pts per
game. In his 7 year career he only averaged LESS points twice!! He scored a total of 1186 points. In his last year in Miami, he scored 1371 points, and
he did it in 220 less minutes on the court!

The *only* other players on the team to average in double figures
(just barely) were Smush Parker (11.5) and Chris Mihm (10.2) AND
Mihm only played in 59 games.

The only player on the Lakers that one could argue had a career year
was Smush Parker, and like I said, he only averaged 11.5 points a game.

You care to try again?

Lakers are rebuilding from being an old team on a long run while Shaq was traded to a playoff team with a rising superstar. Shaq had to be traded to a contender b/c he is fat and old and he knows it. You think he would have gone to a place that was rebuilding? No chance...

Kobe is young guy and can wait on having a team built around him. Add a player or to the Lakers and they would become contenders.

This conversation might be different in a few years.

There's always next year, like in 75, 90-93, 99 &

ok if thats all the only way u can take shots at me then go ahead... keep making personal attacks on me because you can't disprove the factual statements I made.. ur a really classy person lander.. why don't you just keep saying statements like that when I bring up good basketball points, is it because you don't know how to have a discussion in a real manner? I guess so

Wow... You really are an idiot. OK, keep living in your dream world, that
5 Lakers had career years last year, and just ignore the actual stats.

Do me a favor though, please keep posting here, because I need the
daily laughs.
