Wade was MVP b/c Shaq old as hell now. Shaq from 4 years ago would put up 30 15 every game this series and would be MVP.

Shaq knows he fat and old and its Wades team.

kobe is better then wade. he might be a prick off the court, but I would take kobe over wade. both players lax on defense and are scorers. Kobe is the best scorer in the league, hands down.

Yes, exactly.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Wade made some semi tough mid range jumpers and recognized that if he drove he would get to the line a lot or hit a few crazy shots.

Kobe will swish a 3 falling backwards off his ass with 2 guys in his face and then come down next possesion and do it again. Kobe just did some amazing crap in the Lakers title runs. They have 0/3 without him.

Retarded to think it is favorable to have Shaq or Wade over Kobe.
There's just no sensible comparison here.

The Heat won it, and Wade is tops. But you'll put that all to rest about 20 games into next season.

The fact that Shaq gives Wade the credit is a feather in his cap..

By the way, Mourning played like he was a teenager, and arguably deserved more minutes..

Riley is just like a college coach. He plays his favorites tons and tons of minutes and does'nt care how good anyone else is.

I mean, look at how much he went to Starks v. Houston.

Luckily, it paid off for him this time.

Also, when he won it over Detroit in GM 7 he went to Jabar for the clinch possesion which was just silly. They lucked out when Kareem got fouled and hit his shots.

this isn't about who's better. this is about how many titles the lakers might have if shaq and kobe worked together like shaq and wade did. there's no debate as how good kobe is. there's no debate as to how dominate shaq was 4 years ago. there's no reason kobe and shaq shouldn't have dominated this era together. the fact is, wade with a lesser shaq got it done. kobe without shaq didn't. actually, let me rephrase that. the 2005-2006 heat with a lesser shaq got it done. the 2003-2004 lakers with shaq didn't.

Lakers main reason for losing in 2003-2004 was b/c Malone got injured.in game 6 or 7 in western conf championship. They already had beat the #1 seed and best team in the league in San An.

IMO, that year beating SA without home court was a bigger task then beating the Stones in the finals.

Kobe might be better at HORSE, and he might be the better scorer, but he is not even close to wade as a player.

He doesn't make his teammates better and that is THE MOST IMPORTANT characteristic a great player needs.

Jordan was a heist made no one better and his entire team hated him...

Magic made everyone better and his teammates loved him...

Both are 2 of the greatest players ever to play yet they were viewed totally differently.

OMG. You can't be serious?

Please stop wanking to your Kobe posters for a second and find a dose of reality. I'll quote again from Kobe's entry in the 10 most hated sports
figures of all time:

“I’d be the first to tell you that Kobe has not helped himself with a lot of what’s gone on,” says Greg Anthony, former NBA player and current ESPN analyst. “He’s never been the type to do things that would endear him to his teammates.” Maurice Carter, one of Bryant’s former Laker teammates, agrees: “He’s to himself. You’re not in Kobe’s life outside basketball; you just have to accept that.” But it’s not the off-court cold shoulder that rubs his teammates the wrong way; Bryant’s on-court behavior is the real problem. “As a player,” explains Anthony, “first and foremost, it’s shot selection. You’ve gotta understand that when you’re not playing the game the right way, it’s going to negatively impact you toward your teammates. And there were a lot of complaints about Kobe being selfish, not caring about anyone other than himself. Even his coach said he was uncoachable. If your coach is saying it, you can rest assured the players are saying it.”
Shaquille O’Neal was the focal point in Phil Jackson’s vaunted triangle offense, but Kobe’s refusal to take a backseat to the Diesel sunk what could’ve been the most dominant basketball dynasty ever. “I’ve talked to Scottie Pippen and Michael,” says Anthony, “and if Michael Jordan played with Shaq, he would have found a way to let Shaq be the man.”
“They could have won six in a row,” says one NBA insider, but Shaq and Kobe “wouldn’t even speak to each other. I mean, that’s almost unheard-of. You’re talking about teammates, the two best players at the time—not only on the team, but in the league—and they had no personal relationship. None. And I’m not talking about a day but an entire season!”

Is Kobe Bryant Aware He Has Teammates?

BetCRIS Sportsbook Posts Odds on How Many Shots Per Game Kobe Bryant Will Average at the End of the Regular Season
This season it seems more like the Kobe Bryant Lakers rather than the Los Angeles Lakers. Kobe looks like a one man show when the team steps out on the floor. So far this season, Kobe Bryant leads the entire NBA in shot attempts per game at 28.7 with the next closest player, Allen Iverson, 3 shots behind him at 25.7.
One has to wonder if Kobe can keep up this kind of pace for an entire season. There seems to be only one thought in Kobe’s head when he gets the ball, “shoot.”
With no end in sight for Kobe Bryant’s free for all shootingfest, executives at BetCRIS Sportsbook posted odds on what Kobe’s average shots per game will be at the end of the season.
Over/ Under on how many shots per game Kobe Bryant (LA Lakers) will average at the end of the regular season?

  • Over 25.5 shots per game 1 to 1.15
  • Under 25.5 shots per game 1 to 1.15
“Kobe goes out every game and seems like he’s on a personal mission to beat every team by himself,” said Mickey Richardson, CEO of BetCRIS.com. “Someone should remind him that regardless of how bad his supporting cast is, they are there to help him.”

Jordan made no one better? I definately have to disagree with you there...

I love Magic and he definately made his team better, but Jordan made careers for guys who would never have seen an All-Star game without him.
