Kobe is quite possibly the most talented player to ever play the game.

He still is a tremendous athlete, and he has no weakness in his offensive game. None, at all. From 0 to 30 feet he has the best range out of any player in NBA history, I'd say, in terms of being able to score well from any spot on the floor. You can't say the same about Jordan.

If Kobe got more love from the refs, there wouldn't even be a discussion on who the best offensive player in the history of the league is.

If you take out his first three years, plus consider the fact that he played with Shaq for most of his career... and he STILL averaged 28.1 PPG after his first three seasons... You have to ask yourself what his average would be if he never played with Shaq ever. More than Jordan's 30ppg? More likely than not.

Anyone else notice Kobe has been doing this on days when there is NCAA hoops?

Almost like his way of saying F college.

i'm not hating . i posted earlier in here that he would be top 12 of all time.

i might lower that to top 10 .

you want to crown him the greatest thing ever..

guys who get 50 with 35 shots a night are :

wade
shaq
duncan
mcgrady
lebron

their are probably more

are you fucking kidding me?

wade- never even scored 50 in the NBA before.. career high 36FGA
shaq- way past his prime, even in his prime never put up big numbers like this.. FT woes
duncan- NO WAY.. not a scorer of this magnitude
mcgrady- bona fide scorer, but not close to kobe's level
lebron - similar to Tmac

It's not about how many attempts you take... it's about how many you make. Kobe has made 55% this past 3 games.....

i said with 35 shots ...

shaq and duncan would make 22 or 23 of them . throw in ft's for the rest.

wade, lebron and t mac would make 17 to 20 of them and also throw in ft's and you got 50 .

do you have a kobe blow up doll ?

you're a little too much in love with this guy.

Everyone forgets that during the Lakers championship runs, who was picking up the slack and going nutso with scoring when Shaq was out?

Kobe has been the real deal for a long time now.

And I am old school, I hated the bastard back in the day becuase he thought he was so good he could duck school and go to the NBA. Guess I was wrong.

Phil asked him to be a team player, so he did that

Then they (The Lakers) started to go in the tank

So, phil asked him to be more of a scorer --So he is GLADLY showing the world what he can do, per his coach's order.

Greatest pure scorer of all time! He is double teamed the entire game, but still manages to get the majority of his points from the field. It's AMAZING. Kobe has hardly anyone around him.

Rob, I disagree with you all the time in the poli forum, but you nailed it here.

Listen, I am saying Kobe is great, OK.....BUT, where are his assists and rebounds....Oscar Robertson had soooo many triple doubles, it was not even funny....same with Magic......
