lol...it's necessary for me to post info on this thread so eleven black doesn't lead anyone into the abyss...

as much as i bitch about it though i have gotten a ton of entertainment from this thread over the years....for me it's comedic value but different strokes for different folks =)

No worries for me this year, tanner, I ate nothing but hotdogs and beans for the last 10 months and was able to save up the 10k bankroll that will be required to play 11B's suggested wagers.

Do you guys ever stop......................... have you actually read my threads for the past few years............... how many times do I have to explain how I play my wagers and how much I wager , not for myself but for a group of close friends........... you guys are something else............I explained everything and never kept anything or anyone in the dark..........I have always been honest, and only have tried to help those that actually 'care' on this forum................... if you want to come in here and bash me constantly then so be it............. that's all I have heard from both of you for years......... unbelievable..................... absolutely unbelievable.... ... I will not respond anymore to either of you........it's not worth the aggravation.................. you both have won............. and I have lost............................... have a good life............

Tanner your info seems very good, please keep posting. Hope you are wrong about Goldencents,
I have doubts about his ability to go 1 1/4 but he did look good on Sat in SoCal. Plus he's got the
Pitino mojo going for him. He will not be good value in the KD as he will be overbet for exactly that
reason, similar to how Calvin Borrel has been way overbet the last two years. Appreciate your input.
I lost Noble Tune today for the Bluegrass replaced by Balance the Books which seems like a Hail Mary
shot at getting him to the Derby. Doubt it will happen.

Kentucky Derby Post Position Stats
With the post position draw coming soon for the Kentucky Derby, I thought I'd share some statistics for each post position. The Derby has been limited to 20 starters since 1975 and the below table outlines the number of starts, wins, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finishes in each post. Post 20 oftentimes gets a bad rap but is actually the second best place to be in terms of percentage with a 13% win rate and 25% in the money. However, that's based on a small sample size of eight. Five slots have never produced a winner, with post #17 the worst of all with only a 3% in the money percentage and 6% in the superfecta.

I READ SOMEWHERE THAT IN THE LAST 6 YEARS, THE WINNER CAME FROM THE BLUEGRASS WHO FINISHED 1,2,3 AND WON THE DERBY
STREET SENSE IS THE LAST OUT OF THE BLUEGRASS TO WIN AND THEN WIN THE DERBY AND I FEEL THIS YEAR THE WINNER WILL COME FROM THIS RACE
3 out of the 6 years winner came from bluegrass?

nothing against the jockey of Goldencents BUT...Kevin Krigger hasn't had a derby mount before and i'm not sure if he has ever even raced at Churchill. the poor kid is going to be in completely over his head imo....in addition he in an african american so he will more then likely get a ton of face time with the media since there hasnt been a black jockey to win in a LONG time....ky derby jockeys were more black then white in the early years..AND the horse is a doug oneil which will equal additional media after IHA last year.......like i said none of this stuff means anything except the kid better have ice water in his veins and laser focus on the race at hand........very easy to get caught up in the derby and not the race....if he does stay focused on the race its still a challenging race for a jock....traffic, pace, pressure

honestly as far as the horses that are officially IN at the moment, i dont like many and feel as if i can firmly toss them and not have second thoughts.. would have preferred flashback and shanghai bobby in the gate since both of them were tosses imo....

now only horse to race in bluegrass last 13 years and win derby is street sense..has not been a good prep for derby winners.

11Black, love this stuff, keep it up. As far as Tanner goes; Lets see his derby picks as compared to yours! Tanneer runs his mouth while the rest of us gather information and make our OWN picks. BOL to everyone.

gimme the same $20,000 bankroll as eleven black and i will......i offered a head 2 head wager last year with 11black and never got a response...in case you don't remember 11b and his crew of friends (he says) lost like 50k in the 3 triple crown races...i wouldn't stand up for the guys "picks"...like i said it's a fun thread though but light on actual handicapping

the switch to poly goofed everything up..if you look at the stats since the switch the longest shot on the board has a better winning percentage then the favorite....arkansas is the prep to watch as far as derby performance is concerned

:ohno: Don’t Count On It,

Many thanks for the kind words again, and for your contribution to this thread..............as for tanner12oz , I do not believe I have ever seen any of his ‘picks’ for any Derby, or for that matter any of the Triple crown races the past few years..............ever
But he does like to run his mouth.............. so here are some of the classic comments and replies that he made in this thread last year........

ENJOY.....................

After I made the following comment on our thread last year,
"Love to see Hansen run his best on Saturday...just a beautiful horse.... have a hunch it is time for a gray to win it again..Hansen or Creative Cause ?"

tanner had the following response...............
-----Hansen is white

(I thought to myself what an absolutely brilliant observation..........so glad you corrected me on that, with your brilliant contribution to the thread..........it helped all of us)

Tanner22 then made the following comments as the thread from last year continued.....

-----nah like i said i'm not trying to rain on your parade...i know you get a kick out of the accolades and glory of it all but i just wanted a little leveling out with all of the hero worshipping in this thread.

i haven't posted on the thread because i am a member of two horse specific forums that are a wealth of quality information from seasoned everyday players

(I thought again to myself I am so glad that you belong to those 2 specific forums.......and you share the wealth from experts among yourselves)

----it was actually 12,121 in monopoly money and he lost roughly 11,800 bucks of monopoly money give or take
it was laughable last year and it's laughable this year...can't wait till next year...i'm actually looking forward to this circus

----what's your ROI?
end of story

----i will gladly challenge you to a handicapping contest if you would like...i will be at the preakness (front row, track side...special person remember?) so you'll have to give me a couple days notice....let's not have a ficticious $15,000 bankroll either...how about $100? if you can't hit anything with $12,000 how do you think you'll fare with $100? exactly how much money would it take for you to hit a race eleven? maybe it's time to follow another sport or invest more into horseracing then the triple crown races

-----believe me i would rather STFU and have people bash me for not saying anything then to run my mouth with $10,000 in losses. if the guy just ran his mouth and lost it would be one thing but why on earth people are congratulating him on hitting the exacta when he is losing $10,000+ is beyond me...

( I thought to myself once again, boy I did not see anyone congratulating me and my friends, wish I would have seen it )

-----it's liking saying i'm taking the pirates and the astros both to win tonight and then chalking the win up at a win....it's about ROI. you cannot bet 5 horses to WPS or whatever he is doing and make money in this game. he is teaching people habits that are going to put them into the poorhouse.....he isn't playing his picks but maybe someone is tailing him and that person is being DOOMED by his horrible money management

-----APRON BOX- RESERVED FRONT ROW 4 SEATS $125 a pop =)

not clubhouse turn but not SRO....i'll give you the seat numbers and post the tickets if you'd like =)...maybe stop down and say hello if you are trackside...i assure you ya won't wanna go back to your seats

( I thought , why didn’t he ever post the tickets when a few on the thread asked him to )

:think2: These are all great comments and of course helped us all on this thread. We all can’t thank you enough, and can not ask for anything more........... Can we ? You are the true expert and you are the man..............

Now for some comments on my part..............

----- I have always explained what I do.....nothing hidden here
----- Why would I lie ( which you have accused me of numerous times ) about having a group of friends that fund the wagers with me........what do I have to gain from stating this fact ?
----- Please someone show me where I have forced anyone to play this horse or that horse.......or to play this wager or that...... ( as you have said many times ).
----- I have always listed what I am playing and then after the results are in, state whether we won or lost ( my fictitious group of friends and I ), everything is out there for all to see........... where is yours ?

I have never touted myself as an expert handicapper, and I never will............. This is a sport that I love and have had a passion for it for more than 40 years. A sport where one can learn something new almost daily.............

Many years ago, I learned that " life is too short , to put up with assholes ". That is why I will never respond or answer any of this jackass’ comments or questions. Just not worth the aggravation.

You know what I have seen and read in this forum a number of times when it comes to this clown, " Go and take your shit elsewhere......" So why don’t you go and share your knowledge and expertise with those other 2 horse forums.............. I’m sure they need you.........

Now it is time...............

Let’s get back to the business at hand.................... that is, capping this monster of a race and having fun while doing it.......................

Again, thanks for letting me rant , and may you all be well.............. just a few more weeks left...............

:howdy: Looking for these final 2 major prep races to be run........... then will begin crunching all of the numbers from the Past Performances as the field is finalized........

I would lean to.............. Den's Legacy and Oxbow in the Ark Derby................and Java's War and My Name Is Michael in the Blue Grass............

...........................Talk to you all soon............................. be well and may God bless you and yours................

eleven back, im looking at java's war because in his last race 3/9 he was about 20+ lenghs behind the field and he closed like a monster @20-1 and almost caught verrazno and got 2nd hes running in the bluegrass and carries chillie willie martinez who i met at the breeders cup last year a few races before he won on trinniberg the question is will he like the polytrack in the bluegrass, if so and if he can stay in shape, i think he could be a live longshot in the derby. anybody have any thoughts on this one?

he had a rider change today and ran the same race as the tampa derby but won this time

CHURHILL DOWMS HERE HE COMES
