PATS OFFENSIVE DVOA RANK: 5TH VS. RAMS DEF DVOA RANK: 19TH

– New England Pass: 4th / Run: 9th
– Los Angeles vs. Pass: 9th/ Run: 28th

The Patriots are known for relentlessly attacking an opponent’s weakness, and if they do so in the Super Bowl, we will see a lot of their ground game against the Rams’ porous run defense. In fairness, that run defense has played at a high level in the playoffs. Ndamukong Suh, in particular, has raised his game in the postseason.

Whats the ranking with Talib and without Talib?

Completely different defense with Talib.

I originally posted under the name Big Lou and left the site for a few years, hence the current moniker of Big Lou Returns.[/QUOTE

Sounds reasonable..............Out of curiosity.........Why did you leave the Forum ? A "few years" is a long time for a hardcore football fan.

Thought I would point out my picks & bets Saints & Chiefs..... I again failed to see the weakness in my picks. Yes my friends it was me with both my picks, however I am not about to cry over the losses over poor officiating. That's the risk you take betting NFL. There are no guarantees, no “locks” and certainly no promises that any one game will end as predicted. KC has a horrible run D, Pats just rammed that ball down their throat, thus the KC defense never sacked Brady, who was as cool as ice under pressure. Reid cannot out coach Belichick, proven again. Saints coach, Payton, got greedy, should have run the ball 3 times in the middle of the field, run the clock down to as low as possible, then kick the field goal to win. No, he does that pass play, fails, kicks, Rams have time to go back & tie it. Stupid coaching again.

You can say what you want, but Saints looked average in the playoffs, not what they were in most of the regular season. So now these brilliant oddsshark expert finally picks a team to win, the Pats. Brady & company win the SB, #6.... Goff & company, not this year. McVay may be very good at coaching, but RB Gurley hurting, and that may prove to be their downfall, I just see no way Rams win this SB. Rams run game will be so so, pressure on Goff, and their D frustrated they can't get Brady. Belichick will out coach McVay, experience proves itself. Sending LA back to La La Land. Pats win, period.
My reasons are simple!!!! This is the best Patriots team have looked all season with back-to-back wins in difficult situations, plus coach Bill Belichick has two weeks to prepare for young quarterback Jared Goff. It’s hard to go against the success of the Patriots. It’s also difficult to go against their Super Bowl experience and success in a Super Bowl experiences. I’m not about to buck that experience. As much as I would love to pick the Rams, +2.5 points even at +3 or +3 1/2, just isn’t enough on the point spread against Brady & Patriots. Bill Belichick also I have already mentioned has one of the best offensive coaches in NFL Josh McDaniels [ Josh could even be great coach for any team in the NFL]. Patriots have two weeks that I mentioned earlier to prepare for the Rams. I’m going with the Patriots on Super Bowl Sunday, I will take it -2 1/2. I believe a rejuvenated Gronk really opens up the Patriots offense. This will lead to a few extra third-down conversions, a few big plays and a few extra high-success rate scoring opportunities.
Best Of Luck To you all on Superbowl.. This will be my last thread to you for the season. See you next season "God Willing" !!! Hårr¥THëHÄT

I told this forum as well....

A lot of them didn't want to listen to me.

If You Did Your Homework On Handcaping ~RB Gurley~ Was Only 20 % With His Leg Injury...Sore Knee bullshit?

RB Gurley hurting, and that may prove to be their downfall ,Yes it did!!!!!~ If You Did Your Homework On Handicapping ~RB Gurley~ Was Only 20 %. Yes Rams Kept It Quiet, Sore Knee bullshit? More Like Leg Injury? So they used Anderson in the 1st ,rotating second Half with curley & Anderson. Running back Todd Gurley of the Los Angeles Rams has not practiced all week because of a knee injury and is listed as questionable That could mean C.J. Anderson starting in his first game since signing with the team. Big Difference In Running Backs.. This looks like a mismatch against Pats Defense. Goff hasn’t had to throw to covered receivers very often in 2018. His tight-window throw percentage is fifth-lowest among active starters. The Patriots will force him to make tough throws all game. With Out Gurley this line should have been + 6 Rams according to DVAXN Group 25 NFL Football Outsiders Powering Rating ~[Cleveland OH] Calculated Point Spreads With Trends & Statistics and Indicators[/PHP]
