I would have a hard time asking a friend for 10 percent of what he is asking you.. sounds like hes in trouble, but youll never see that money back. Chances are he will try to win it back gambling and fall into another hole

Good to know that BAS at least has potential for lending $30K, in case I'm ever trapped in a Mexican jail

Who's the Wealthy Buddy ?? :think2:

If he came to you asking you for $30k, you must have it and be able to splurge it. I'd consider that kinda wealthy.. More wealthy than me anyway.. :drink:

If you want to get rid of someone, lend them some money. A couple hundred ought to do it.

You'll never see the $$$ again.

Aside from immediate family, I have only four friends I would lend that kind of money to. Two I have known for 30 years, 1 for 18 years, and 1 for 12 years.

Also, never lend money to a woman. The wife and I lent a couple of grand each to two different friends of hers that were in dire straits (1 has 3 kids that needed to eat, 1 was going to get kicked out her place). 2 years later, we've rec'd a total of $150 back collectively.

Don't do it!!!

prolly told this story before but it fits...

1 of the guys i know who runs a local conv store. Has ppl come in and buy like a 6 pack and cigs everyday for months.
But the 1st time they come in and they are a buck or 2 short and he says "pay me tomorrow'...he never sees them again.......

i leant a buddy $250 and havent seen a penny back and I work with the guy. Always talking about how hes hurting from the night before from partying or how hes going to smoke weed as soon as he gets home. Yet never tries to pay me back, even if it was just $10-20 a week. Some people dont just care about owing people money, me on the other hand, I hate the feeling and would try to pay it back immediately.

and you know that to

I have lent money to friends on several occasions, usually $ 500 to 1k, and not one ever paid me back when they said they would

1 month becomes 2 years
