The PHX market really depends on where you live. Certain areas are doing fine, and the higher end market is still pretty strong.

I would think worse than gas prices would be that horrid commute along I-17. That alone would make me want to move.

Its brutal for sure, but the 38MPG Honda Civic helps to ease the pain a bit.

The thing I hear most often about people living in Anthem is that it's so far from everywhere. That was before the stadiums were built in Glendale. People had to drive so far to go to most sporting events or other events.

Would you find the same thing Coach?

Its really not that bad in my opinion. My job in Glendale is about 22 miles one way. Takes about 25 minutes door to door on most days. The new Cardinals stadium is just about another 5-10 minutes down the road on the 101 from where I work.

Everything you would ever need can be found in the north Valley along Bell Rd. Its only about a 20 minute drive from Anthem. Barring good traffic of course.

Things are really starting to get built up along Happy Valley Rd. as well. Thats only about a 15 minute drive. Shopping, restaurants, movie theater, etc.

US Airways Center is downtown and about a 35 minute drive from Anthem. Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe is about a 45 minute drive. Again barring good traffic.

Quantum, the average price of a house in Orange county is in the 500,000 range?? That seems low to me considering some of the areas in Orange County are really high priced areas.

Wide variety of homes in this area including really high priced homes. But some are lower than that of course. Santa Ana and Anaheim have rather old areas so I'm sure that brings down the price some.
