Are you kidding me. Mark loved Jon Gruden. This is why he sat on the emails on Friday and let him coach Sunday's game. He was hoping the situation would blow over. Gruden has an engaging personality and could talk football all day. Look at the contract Davis had to give Gruden to leave the booth. And as I have said Jon received a settlement. There is no morals clause or disclosure. These were private emails made when Gruden was not an NFL employee. Jon did nothing during his time with the Raiders to dishonor or bring shame to the team. He resigned because he was assured of a monetary settlement on his contract. If he was fired he would have gotten the entire $60 million. There is no arbitrator that would have sided with the NFL or the Raiders. Whatever figure negotiated was fair. Is there a chance Gruden just walked away and told Mark to keep the $60 million. I suppose but it is more likely Mark offered the settlement and asked Jon to accept it. Mark Davis is a loyal person and you can see the individual he is when he refused to watch the games from the stadium last season until the fans could come in.
He and his wife just completed construction on a new Las Vegas home in August. The 8,600 sq. ft. home cost $4.3 million.

and Gruden was 100% correct that the Rams drafted Michael Sam with their final 7th round pick to virtue signal knowing he would never play a down in the NFL. Hell the kid not only didn't play a down in a regular season NFL game but he didn't make a team in the CFL either. It was a pick to make the LGBTQ3PO people buy Sam's Rams jersey, the end.
