this device is a MUST HAVE for the serious sports gambler, especially if you do not want to be tied to the house all the time....

you can browse ANY html website, I place bets at Pinny & check RX threads on my 650 all the time.... AMAZING....

furthermore, certain books like (CRIS, WWTS, CARIB) have a special software interface you can download onto your TREO 650 so that you can place bets at their websites alot quicker........

COVERS, also has Interfaces for the treo 650.....

An Amazing phone/PDA......

DITTO ABOVE...I have one, and wagerline comes in great for scores, with a constant refresh. Just remember you have to hit the refresh screen even if you are coming back into the web for the first time. The software does not possess a auto update. CBS gets too bogged down, but I ahve placed many bets through 5dimes on the device. That was nice!!! Web is slower, just be prepared for that....but a must have as Savant says

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing the RUBBERIZED cover from PALM.....You will trash your device if you donot get the cover gl NEWPORT

newport what is the web address for the scores at wagerline? (wagerline.com I imagine?)

I have been using CBS sportsline to check scores, but you are right, it does bog down a bit.....

I have been just going to the regular cbssportsline/mlb.com something like that one. wagerline, as long as you refresh is the easiest to download, quickest I have found

I don't know if it applied for you, but the Palm OS doesn't handle certainly Java applets well, among them being the Pinnacle Horse wagering page. That was really the only reason I bought one, only to find that the page won't load due to a cookie/Java problem.

SS, if you can access the Pinny Horses area, please let me know and perhaps I'll be reconsidering!

Very nice, gentlemen. I have started a couple of threads regarding devices that can access sportsbooks remotely to get down bets, but this is the one I've been waiting for. Now, ...........

What books are set up to interface with the Treo?

From this thread I gather.....

Pinnacle
CRIS
WWTS
CARIB

Any others?

LUCA you can access ANY sportsbook....

The difference with CRIS, WWTS & CARIB is that they have a special software application that you download from their site, install it on to your TREO with a "Hot Sync" then you can bet at their sites MORE EFFICIENTLY.... the software FORMATS everything perfectly for the treo & has functions to speed up the net........... Check out the software advertised on the BETCRIS webpage.....

another example is COVERS, you can visit their HTML site directly from the browser on your 650,

or you can downlaod their software which installs an application on your TREO & allows you to access the info more efficiently
