Just spoke to RickA and he is aware everyone is anxious for the details, unfortunately this year there have been a few unexpected occurrences which have caused delays in passing along the information to members.
He has assured me tho, that there will be some news RE: the bash on Friday.

i think the logistics of it all are quite an undertaking, it's not like getting one or two rooms, they are talking 115 rooms or more. i would expect they are trying to secure the best rate possible and with the consolidation that taken place in vegas it may not be as easy as it once was. just my .02

I've got nothing against you Doug. That was just an epic performance unlike any that I've seen in a long time(at least not at 10am, and excluding those that live on the sidewalks around Coors Field).
As far as the date, I'll make damn sure that you know as soon as I do. These corporate buyouts in progress are making things an absolute pain in the ass to get an answer out of anyone. It's tough getting a response from anyone within a day or two-let alone same day.

Nothing wrong with moving the bash up a few weeks if needed! My son and daughter start school the week before the bash as it presently stands and I am going have to hit up my parents to watch the kids for 5 days or so as it is!

For the record
There will DEFINITELY be a Bash, each Rxer and a guest that qualify by sigining in on time in Xpanda's list will get a comped room at an excellent hotel (most likely The Flamingo) for two nights. Assuming we have to change the dates then anyone who has already bought plane tickets for the originally planned August 17th and 18th dates will either be refunded their money if they have non refundable or non changeable tickets by The Rx.com or perhaps able to attend a mini Bash on those dates if that is the only time they can make it to Vegas... To be certain no Rxer will be out any money if we have to change the dates, which I understand now is a real possibility. The Rx.com will not leave any Rxer in a situation where they spent money on airfare and now can't recoup it or use it towards tickets for any possible new date.
The good news is the new dates if necessary will be early in September (not Labor day weekend though) which translates into a college football/NFL weekend in Vegas for everyone on the sign up list who can make it on those dates (most likely September 8th and 9th). In the long run that type of weekend will offer a lot more action than one in the middle of August. I will definitely do a College Football capping contest with a nice prize up for grabs for the winner, but I am getting ahead of myself. This is not my department so:

Doug if its a pain in the ass to you and if you do not want to go this year then do not go....its a free deal..so there might a bump or to this year because of dates... I just read wil said the Rx will take care of posters that already bought tickets...
very classy IMO they do not have to do that by any means
