Sounds like he sent a check to settle up in full, then bet his ass off. After he lost, he put a stop payment on the check and disappeared, looking for other outs to do the same thing. Definitely a seasoned pro scammer. I dunno, at some point somebody is gonna hurt him. There is no such thing as karma but there are people that will not tolerate this shit.
This is why I could not book even if I had the means to. I would take this very personal if someone did this to me. He knew what he was doing and is nothing more than a thief. I would track this thief down, even if I had to get on a plane, and have a face to face so at least I could let it go. Collections would be costly and very time consuming for me for sure. You guys that book and figure this is part of the job and don't take it too personally, must have thick skin for sure.
